I'm gonna say Dark Souls.
Yeah, you are killed by everything, but think about it.
The MC is immortal, as s/he cannot be killed permanently, and you constantly overcome crushing odds. Taking down that boss that's been pissing you off is one of the greatest feelings the game can provide.
Not to mention, you are able to wield every weapon, cast every spell and wear every piece of armour with the right stats. If that's not god-like, I don't know what is.

Lol, I'm sorry, this is off-topic, but I had to mention the hilary of this thread's title reminding me of that Volus from ME2.

"I am a biotic god!"

As for me, Fable II. Master those flourishes and no one can stop you.

These three in a payload server, oh the hilarity. And the entire enemy team frozen.

Your kind is the bane of my existence.

OT: Pretty much any sandbox games with cheats. This includes but is no limited to GTA Vice City, San Andreas, IV, Saints Row 3, etc.

If you've built up well, and are leagues ahead of the competition, Civilization V. Or any of the Civilization games for that matter.

By the end of all Kingdom Hearts games, I usually get the strongest weapons and armors that I'm virtually untouchable. Even the special bosses are not that difficult once I've reached the level cap and I have a large stockpile of Elixers.

Darksiders, God of War and Devil May Cry. I guess plenty of RPGs do it too, but they do it through just upping stats, while in the other games I mentioned I really feels like you're the one who is powerful, not just your skills or items. Being a god in Skyrim just takes hours and hours of grinding. It doesn't matter how long you play DMC or how many combos you unlock, if you don't learn how to control the game properly you will always suck. That's why mastering those games makes you feel so empowered.

Also, Okami. Because Amaterasu is actually a god.

Skyrim, i agree that being mister-fancy-piece-of-wood-with-a-bit-of-string can be fun, but I AM A NORD, AND I DO NOT FEAR YOUR ARROWS, IMPERIAL DOGS! I WILL STICK YOUR ARROWS SO FAR DOWN YOUR THROAT YOU CRAP ARROWHEADS! excuse me, lost control. so when i was a warrior i didn't have to capture Odahkiin to become unstoppable. i basically smashed my way through every encounter and marriede/divorced every marriegeable female in the game. typical Nord style

also from dust. you are in-game basically a god. you have no mortal shape and you can move sand, water & lava around (until to much water/lava comes and kills everyone in every village, YAY FOR TSUNAMIS!)

See my avatar.
Geneforge 2, where you can almost become a god.
Quite a spoiler if you ever plan to play the game.

I'd just remembered a game that made me feel godlike. I felt ridiculously powerful playing Bayonetta. That woman is nigh unstoppable. She is powerful as hell and has an incredible level of confidence. Even if I did have trouble at some points in the game, I always felt really freaking badass.

Katamari Damacy.

From stardust they came, and to stars they shall go. Their mortal screams fall on deaf ears.

MTG's ArchEnemy the schemes make me feel like an evil overlord with spells beyond that of the normal planeswalker, I delight in their convulsions, I enjoy IGNITING THE CLONEFORGE! And showing those puny ones that their Mortal Flesh Is Weak.

The God of War series and Dynasty Warriors/DW clones come to mind. Pretty much any game with a ridiculously powerful AOE nuke attack.

Blast, you beat me to it!

As for other games, Persona 3 for the sake of being able to subjugate beings like Odin or Lucifer and use them for your cause.

Silent Hill 2 - Upon getting the Chainsaw, all things are possible.

Final Fantasy 7 on the third disc, especially if you got Knights of the Round on Disc 2. The grinding makes that feeling of complete monster crushing in the dungeon (and the bosses as well) VERY sweet.

I felt tiny and pathetic... until I got good enough to beat the last few sections. The Dark Lord ending just makes it that much better.

Not quite to the same degree as Dark Souls (Fucking Gracious & Glorious), but I get your point.

Well... At one point in WoW, I was assaulted by two Rogues in greens and heirlooms. I was playing on my Arms Warrior in a Battleground, as soon as I killed the first one, a third one joined, decked out in Ruthless. A mixture of Overpower, Bladestorm and Victory Rush made me howl "I AM A GOD" on voice chat. Probably sounded ridiculous with my whiny Swedish accent. Yes. I had better gear, didn't make it feel any less awesome though. This was all in Alterac Valley as far as I recall, didn't get help either, kinda got jumped on the way to the enemy base.

Once I figured out how to use a grenadier I had that shit locked down (after about a week of no kills and double-digit deaths)

-LOTR: BFME 2
Boromir: Horn of Gondor+Ithilian Ranger Fire Barrage=insta-death for any army.

-Skyrim
Stealth-Archer+Enhanced Explosive Crossbow=YES.

Ah I remember those good ol' days with my Arms Warrior cruzing with full Relentless gear (WotLK) and wiping the floor with anyone other than a rogue (most of the time).
