When someone figures out how to ask a question, I will be more than happy to explain how for the 3rd consecutive day in a row, I just hit the #1 for today's r/all on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/5v1bon/donald_trump_admits_sweden_attack_comments_were/ [https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnews/comments/5v1bon/donald_trump_admits_sweden_attack_comments_were/]

You all do realize if I am doing this consistently, perhaps that is not... normal? And maybe there is a specific thing I am doing differently?
What system? Reposting news articles of current and/or politically charged events in reddits with large populations, ensuing that you receive a sizable amount of attention due to all the people squabbling in the comments sections? I believe the proper term for it is 'clickbait', not exactly the freshest discovery in town.

Now if you'd really wanted to impress everyone around here (where the general theme seems to be neutrality/dislike of Reddit), you should try getting 70k upvotes in a subreddit that doesn't have 15 million subscribers and isn't in the top bar of the Reddit homepage. Clickbait: Hardmode.
Posting the news is not clickbait. I would proceed to elaborate, but I believe your comment conveys an ethics towards me that is less than satisfactory.
That's not how ethics works.

Yeah I have a question;

What is the point of "toast bread" when you can just toast ordinary bread?

I believe it's a teeensy bit thicker, which could be good for toasted sandwiches, but the difference is honestly negligible.

I'll contribute too.

Also, Gabby is most adorable Griffon.

On a more serious note, you(OP) got two posts that made it to the front of news by being the threads picked up on current headlines and caught on, I know multiple people that have made it to the front of r/all by posting to r/news and r/worldnews, it's not really a highly regarded accomplishment, nothing in those posts belies some hidden technique.

Don't take that as an insult, they were decent news topics, but the vast majority of the internet, and especially here don't give a shit, one of the people with the highest link karma counts on the website just reposts links from other subs with changed headlines, a lot of people on Reddit think that guy is a jackass. If even Reddit doesn't respect link karma, I'm not sure why you think people here are going to care.
