Call me crazy, call me foolish, or call me too naive, but I was probably one of the very few people who were genuinely excited about Sonic Boom.
I really was. I am so disheartened to hear that it's a complete buggy mess.
The look and design of the game really did give off that old PS2/GC/Xbox era of design that we don't really see much of anymore.
And-looking at the game- it's literally like one half of the team did it's job, and the other half of the team completely fucked up.
Like seriously, the art assets, the writing, the designs, and the modeling all look stellar. They look very good. These guys clearly put effort into making what should of been a well done game.
But then you got the other side. This game had zero testing. It wasn't optimized for the console it was on,(like the framerates are so choppy) it had glitches out the ass, some assets didn't load properly, the cutscenes might as well of been roughs- like- it literally wasn't a finished game. At all.
All so they can get the game out before holiday season-no- in tangent of their show.
Like...I'm really disheartened by this. I want to say I hope they get a second chance, but I really don't see this happening. Good thing SEGA of Japan made the call to have it restricted to US only.
