Dear advertising companies working on behalf of a major corporation,

Err... whatever you come up with, the internet will still be pissed... on social media.

From some random guy, Para.

So if you haven't heard because you have more important things in your life, Pepsi has pissed off the internet. Time to boycott!!

I've seen the ad and me personally, I just thought... meh. That's it. Am I missing something here?

Comment if you wish and yes you can be angry at this thread too. Boycott Para!!!

I am angry and offended that you are angry and offended. How dare you get angry and offended about something when I was comfortably apathetic and disinterested! You have now made me use an exclamation point! Twice*!
I will now personally boycott all abbreviations and words that remotely resemble any part of your user name!
*=actually four times

On a more serious note, I'm closer to being offended that you willingly drink/drank Pepsi (unless you only drank Dr. Pepper) instead of the divine gift of the sacred nectar that is Coca-Cola.

I get what you people are trying to do, and it's cute that your lives are going so well with your privilege that you can mock the righteous anger of those who have to be minimized and micro aggressioned by those with power on a daily basis. I have helped trend a number of progressive minded hashtags on Twitter, so I actually listen to the complaints of those who you mock, instead of just writing them off.

I looooooove Dr Pepper. I heard the US has more than one kind of Dr Pepper flavour like cherry and.... something. We in the UK just get the one. Seriously, why? Why only one Jaffa Cake flavour but Milka has several. AAARRRRGGHHH!!

It's honestly oversimplifying an issue that deeply matters to a good deal of Americans, the notion that simply the act of sharing a drink could end the hostilities on both sides is frankly moronic and out of touch with reality. Coming from a millionaire like Kendall Jenner, it's also condescending and classicist considering I highly doubt she went through what either sides lived and have to deal with on a daily basis.
I don't think it's offensive though, just stupid and short-sighted.

This isn't uber cereal is it? Like... my privilege? Hold on. Lemme introduce myself.

Hi, I'm Parasondox. Just a random user on the Escapist Forums that likes to do observational and political comedy on a poorly rated scale. Comedy is subjective and feel free to laugh and say I am funny or say I suck and tell me to stop typing. I respect views and thoughts about me. I often try to lighten up the mood in ark times because, well, laughter is all we have left and I have ran out of dead baby jokes. Also, feel free to look back at my previous threads and post on how I prefer to look for the middle ground, point out the bullshit, and discussing matters and learning more from others on this site. I believe we can all work together and have health debates with one another. Even if we have opposing views, i'll still enjoy geekdom with you. Also just do not mention Cliff Richards to me. He is like a clown to peoples fears. He... he scares me.

Now here is my favourite pic.

Neatly put. Thank you. When the young and wealthy talk about the struggle, my face goes full Michelle Obama. Honestly, major companies are seriously out of touch with reality which is why we should never consider them as people... REPUBLICANS (some)!!!

You really only need the one, true Doctor (soda, not the T.V. show). The others are, in my opinion, a pale and unworthy imitation that profane the glorious name of the original.

I actually do not know if you are being serious or humourous. Please be the latter.

True. I wanted to experiment but I shall be loyal to the original.

Dr Pepper. What's the worse that can happen?

Totally not an ad!

And here you all are, typing on the internet and not one of you is checking your functional fingers privilege, your functional eyes privilege, your skin privilege, your English privilege or your not-born-in-1773-Dutch-East-Indies privilege.

Makes me sick!

I'm...really sorry to hear that. Please tell me you are paid to read the abuse.

OT: All I have to say is that Nintendo isn't as great as it thinks it is.

How do you know it isn't a giant pig and a huge portion of ice cream?

I mean, you seem to have the privilege of being passive-aggressive at internet randos as you like. Consider changing that into looking at pictures of adorable micropigs. It may actually make you feel better. :D

I can't find an image of Alpa's response "What do you mean 'you people'?" and I don't want to just reuse your image.
I can't say I'm angry though. I'm just -heavy sigh- disappointed.

Why do you immediately assume it's a giant piggy eating a huge portion of ice cream or a tiny piggy eating a tiny portion of ice cream?
How do you know it's not a picture of a medium sized piggy eating a extra-medium portion of ice cream?

Isn't Pepsi like...the Pepsi of colas though?

I mean. Why even care?

Also, marketing departments are notable, primarily, for two things: being stupid and overreacting to inconsequential backlashes.

Birds fly, clouds rain, ad execs shit the bed at every available opportunity.
