i have noticed since the 3ds launch that nintendo has been considerably tight lipped about releases for any console. this is especially noticeable for the 3ds as its been, what like half a year and we have had no decent games yet *curls into a ball for incoming ooT fanrage*. dont get me wrong zelda ooT was great but the keyword is WAS. Nintendo has released this more times than ive been kicked in the head for that last sentence.

all i ask is this. when my friends ask me why i bought a 3ds on launch day, dont make me say it was an investment. it wasnt, i have already lost $50 due to the price drops and for my trouble i got 10 mini games i wouldn't play for free. we need some quality titles or i dont think ill keep my 3ds.

so theres my rant about the 3ds. whats yours?

the fact you bought the 3DS without the want for the games out for it is confusing. why did you get it if you don't want anything for it yet?

My rule for buying a new console is that it needs 10 exclusive games that I want to own before I consider buying it. Right now in regards to games that are actually released it's got 1 (and no, it's not OoT) Games not actually out yet make it about 4, and games that I want but aren't really confirmed for localized yet (whether it's obvious or iffy that they will be) puts it at around 9

The 3DS has actually lost some from that list since it came out (Cartoon Network Punchtime Explosion is getting an advanced port to consoles, Pet Zombies 3D I decided to pass on and Saints Row: Drive By got canceled)

I also knew that I wanted to wait for the inevitable better version of the 3DS, the 3DS Lite for current lack of a better term. However, I will admit with the price drop I may reconsider my position there.

I know you don't want to hear that it's an investment and the library will pick up down the line but...that's honestly what the console is floating on right now. I'm not expecting a flood of great games to come out within a year or two of its release, but the system will probably have at least a 5 or 6 year lifespan, and in that time I do expect to see plenty of worthwhile titles.

I'm sorry that you have some buyers remorse, but I'm not exactly sure what you expect anyone to say. The best I can say is that I hope it comes out with some games you want soon.

If you truly regret your position to the point of wanting to get rid of your 3DS, I can't imagine that anything anyone here says is going to change your mind.

I'm still getting one, mainly for pokemon rumble blast, the possible release of Layton vs. Wright, The fifth Layton game that had a hype that vanished into thin air, and the list goes on and on. I say keep your 3DS, because all of the good games will be coming around by the end of the year, or early 2012.

...I'll gladly take yours off your hands, though.
If it wasn't for the low content rule, I'd say "this".

Since the price drop, I've seriously been considering getting a 3DS, but due to the fact I need my PC built first and foremost, I've been putting it off. I hope to get it soon though.

I got once since it was only £115. Haven't really used it much besides playing Samurai Warriors and old DSi games(I still use my DS lite for any games which arent DSi Enhanced). I got OOT with the handheld, but I don't have the motivation to playthrough it again. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have bought it, but it was £10 off and I felt bad buying a 3DS without any games.

I'm glad I didn't get it on launch though. £230 was an awful lot considering few games there are.

Eh, mine just kind of sits there, unused. At least I have it though, so I won't have to save up later when they come out with another game I want (besides the two remakes, OoT and SF64).

Paper Mario ought to be awesome though...hehe.

I considered buying one at launch just for X-Com Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars. Are there other games for it?

My rant is that I have no money and can't afford any of the titles I want. All I have is the handheld, my old DS games, Lego Star Wars III, Ocarina of Time, and the free stuff. I want Link's Awakening, Super Mario Land 2, Shantae: Risky's Revenge (Skipped it on my DSi), Devil Survivor Overclocked, Star Fox 64, Steet Fighter, Ghost Recon, Tetris Axis, and Solatorobo (I know this is a regular DS game, but still). I wish I wasn't poor...

Um, no, they released it three times. The original, Master Quest for the Gamecube, and this one. It's not Street Fighter.

OT: I'd get one if there weren't so many games coming out this winter. Still need to buy food and all that.

I don't have a 3DS rant, because I'm smart enough not to throw away money that could be better spent buying games than buying a console that only has ports and remakes.
