I can never get into side quests.

I've played many rpgs and for some reason i can never do side quests. Even huge games like oblivion and fallout, ive never done more than a few side quests.

Is anyone else like this?

Why?

As long as I get good rewards I always do sidequests, I mostly never do ones that are pointless and have nothing to do with the overall experience, like those collecting beer bottles in Dead Island, not even the money was worth the hassle.
