I cancelled and order from Dell, and they're sending it to me anyway.

I'd watch out, since they do have your card number and such they could charge you once they realize it. But then again they probably won't realize it at all.

The honest thing to do would be to let them know.

Erm, well, how about keeping it?

Sorry, am I being backward or something? Maybe it's just an English thing to keep all free things, ever.
Heh, those ligitgous Americans and their ridiculous lawsuits. Dude, your law says you have every right to treat as a gift, seen as they sent it to you without your permission. Might want to check that you didn't need to give them a certain amount of time after you cancelled it (i.e. you cancel, they send, they recieve/process your cancellation, Dell get's angry, *DELL SMASH*. And nobody wants that).

You technically terminated the contract with Dell, after it was terminated they sent you a computer. Therefore, they basically gave you a computer.

Well if the funds have been returned a week ago and they're only just sending it now then they clearly want you to have it.
Yeah I would probably think that way too ... then again its to good to be true, just in case let them know ... better safe than sorry.
Perhaps it's some kind of trap for false lawsuits? Bah. I'm just being silly.

I'd probably send it back. I already have a computer.

Actually no, If he signs for the package from FedEx he has complete a shipping contract and accepted the item. Thus he will be held responsible for the cost.

Your best bet is to refuse delivery from the FedEx driver and have them send it back. Any other way and Dell will most likely come at you for the cost.

And FYI, Talking to a Lawyer will not be worth it unless you have a family friend who will talk to you for free. Just send the thing back and be done with it.

Call them, tell them what's up, and see if you can return it. It's the right thing to do.

Get someone else to sign for it, keep it, sell it on and then it's just a case of 'What computer do you mean? I didn't see a computer. What's a computer?' if Dell ever ask.

Unless you'd rather send it back. I'm slightly worried by the amount of people suggesting seeking legal advice, seriously, is the fear of getting sued that extreme these days?!

I got a free monitor from Dell once. They like giving out free stuff.

Take it and run!
