Ok, so I recently purchased an Asus N10J Netbook.
I love this thing, and could probably make a ton of threads on this bad boy, but I'll just make one (more):

I recently got Crysis, and tried to run it on my new little 10" Netbook, the Asus N10J.
It works.

I've got it overclocked to 2.0 Ghz (Up from the stock 1.6), the game running at 1024x600, and everyone on 'low' detail, but it runs.
And you know what? It runs well.

I just jumped out of the plane and am running through the tutorial, but everything is pretty darn smooth.
I can't believe it. I love this thing.
I'll post an update-edit when I get into some fire-fights and things start exploding.

But my question to you is: Have to ever just tried running a game that you know shouldn't really run on your system, but it ran anyways? And was playable?

EDIT:

Ok, so I played basically my entire lunch break at work.
And here is the verdict:

I might drop the resolution down to 800x600, but it's definitely playable. It does chug during really busy moments, but over all it's pretty solid. And besides, my point remains the same: I'm playing Crysis on a netbook. How freaking awesome is that?

yeah, my old computer, i mean like over a decade old, managed to run age of empires two when it came out despite not even nearly matching the minimum requirements

Wait until you get to the final boss battle... that will be the real test of your computer. Shit was fucked up.

I tried playing HL2 on my old dell. It wouldn't even play THAT, and it was made to be played on lower end computers.

No but I tend to have the opposite with this computer. World of Warcraft, fine. Diablo II, lags like hell. I just don't get it. Especially since it used to run it flawlessly.

Well I'm surprised HL2 and Ep1 can run fine on my new computer but have trouble running everything else in the Orange Box, Portal being the most playable, Ep2 couldn't hardly get past the title screen if that says anything.

Thats really weird.
I had a similar experience with Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

Got a new computer, tried installing it (It was a favourite of mine), and no go. Wouldn't run at all, actually. New 3D card, new computer, new everything. I tried every trick in the book (Update every audio and video driver you can) but it never got past the main menu.
Couldn't figure it out.

I know this sounds weird, and I'm probably talking shit, but I think sometimes modern computers are a bit too far ahead of the specs.

I'm typing this on a laptop that can run Crysis on very high. Of course, the resolution is awful so it still looks mediocre, but still. I had seen people playing the game on high with this machine, but very high was shocking.

That's pretty impressive!
Is it Alienware? or Falcon?

Lame, I got all excited till I looked up your netbook and realized it has a 512 mb graphics card whereas my acer netbook probably has like an 8 mb card.
