Did anyone else find the first 4 hours or so a slog? Maybe it was just down to random chance, but for the first part of the game I couldn't find any weapons with real punch or effects that seemed to get anything done. I just did a bunch of kiting and shooting guys in the face like 10 times in a row. That first boss fight Claptrap take you to with the yeti-thing seemed strangely difficult.

At some point I finally got a good set of weapons together though. I liked killing the crystal feet guys once I figured out their weakness.

I'll definitely not be doing a second playthrough or playing any DLC. I bought the DLC for the first game since I was enjoying it. I don't find the story, humor, or world very interesting in Borderlands - it's all about the pew pew and cool gear. I tend to really enjoy that sort of thing until I suddenly just don't anymore. I could play Crusader Kings II forever, but about 30 to 40 hours of Borderlands 2 will be plenty. I actually got the game free with my graphics card, so I can't complain about the price!

I found BL2 to be much better than the first, but it was still a boring slog for me. I hated the feel of a lot of the guns in that nearly every gun simply handled horribly. Finding an assault rifle that fired bullets, not in burst fire, instead of explosives was next to impossible. When I finally got my very first one at level 20 its accuracy was horrible and its respective damage output was awful.

There is a lot of loot in BL2. However almost all of the loot is horrible and unexciting. Another white, another green, just churn it into cash and move on. Plus, being able to only carry 20ish items in your incredibly clunky to navigate interface (from a PC perspective) sort of sealed the fate of the game for me. Doing 40+ runs of Bunk3r to maybe get an orange drop is ludicrous and, at least to me, fundamentally pointless because I found no aspect of it enjoyable.

I far preferred Torchlight 2 which has a much better drop randomization system, in my opinion and really handles loot management with your pet in a far more elegant way than BL2 does.

And just after I have finally uninstalled this game like few weeks back, now I have to install it back, wonder what character should I choose this time around.

I have been playing through BL2 with an old friend of mine over the past few months. It's been awesome. He's been going through some tough times, and I'm far away in a foreign country, but for a couple of hours a couple of times a week, we go murder every Hyperion goon and Bandit we can find and everything is right in the world.

But if anyone wants to give us a hand with Terramorphous, we're going to need a couple more people (Xbox 360 - European evenings?)
