I've been playing almost nothing but STS9 for almost a week straight, now. That's a pretty serious run, for me. Might have something to do with a concert I just bought tickets for, though. Even if it's over a month away yet, it's exciting!!!

Can. Not. Wait!!!

Hey you!
Yeah, you. I think I might come to like you. That or you are a sneaky ninja and must be punished...

But yeah, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, John Lennon, George Harrison. (I never really liked what Paul McCartney did on his solo career.

I've gone through Sun Kil Moon's (The same band/guy that did "Heron Blue" for Gears 3) April several times today. That kind of music is great easy listening, with my favorites being the songs "Lost Verses" "Lucky Man" and "Unlit Hallway." It's great music, and I'm probably going to pick up his new album very soon.

I have quite the affinity for Queens of the stone age.

really anything Josh Homme does is music to my ears...... pardon the pun.

Why are puns a bad thing?

I can't listen to something forever. I can listen to it for a long time, though. I've been listening to Pink Floyd for years now; with most other bands I like them for a few months and then stop listening to them. Although I've kind of stopped listening to Pink Floyd too. I'm so fickle.

The closest I can get to listening to something forever are the bands that I like every time I listen to them - the Beatles, Rise Against, AC/DC, Queen and Eminem come to mind. I don't listen to them everyday, but whenever I do, I like them. They just last.

RUSH.

I've not come across a band quite as dynamic and talented as Rush. They went from a Led Zepplin knock-off to progressive rock to synth rock to just plain hard rock, while never ceasing to be amazing. It's never the same band twice, always changing and evolving their sound while always challenging themselves musically.

Take this instrumental, La Villa Strangiato. Just listen to the amount of musicianship and, hey, HEY! HEY!! Pay attention when someone's talking to you... Sheesh...

Heaven Shall Burn
Authority Zero
Rise Against

Only three bands I can think of that I have listened to for 7-8 years. Other bands I used to listen to and don't anymore or just heard and have been listening to recently...

I Fight Dragons.

Also the soundtrack to the Glee show... Not a fan of the show, really, but I'm a sucker for musical-type covers.

Of course I never tire of the classics such as The Beatles or Queen.

... But I have a bit of a crush on young Frank Sinatra. I listen to his music any chance I get. Ahhhhh.

Right now, two bands. Vangough and Closure in Moscow.

Of course, Nightwish and HIM are in this group, but these two are my current addictions, and they show no signs of stopping (Closure never will. Been listening from day one. I just can't get enough of this band).
