I used to pride myself in the fact that I never cried at movies... Then Toy Story 3 broke me. Now I can't stop the tears. I cry like a baby during How to Train Your Dragon, Doctor Who the End of Time, Paperman, Wreck-It Ralph, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

I cry at movies almost more easily than at actual life events. I don't know why.

The last movie I saw in theaters was Iron Man 3, and I made it dry-eyed through that one, but before that...Wreck-It Ralph. And oh my, I wept, wept when Ralph destroyed Vannellope's racer thinking that keeping her out of the race (and breaking her heart, each of them losing their only friend in the process) was the only way to keep her alive. She's screaming and crying, he's at the lowest point in his life trying to do the right thing and it just destroys me to watch.

Other movies I can remember crying about in the theater? The last three Harry Potter installments, Lilo and Stitch (basically a movie about orphans trying not to get separated by social services), Return of the King, Big Fish, Serenity...

I'm worse with television series. I cry at every third episode of Doctor Who, and some even on rewatching will get me going for ages. I cried thrice during the Office season finale, the second time I watched it. I cried for Jim & Pam's wedding. I cried for Joyce Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And again at that show's finale, mostly for Anya. I The past I-don't-know-how-many episodes of Warehouse 13. Certain episodes of Scrubs, and that one Futurama about Fry's dog. Torchwood. Every time Xena Warrior Princess thought Gabrielle was dying.

Basically, I'm a fountain.

I cry. Openly. Big fat sweaty man-tears. Sometimes I dont know why (most of the time I do). Doesnt make the tears come any less heavily tho, but there is a pattern - I like animated films, kids films, etc. So.... Latest movies I cried to, and why:

How to Train Your Dragon
The last scene where his pet risks his life for him, and the lead still loses his leg for the clan... I burst into tears. What he sacrificed, his freedom and mobility, it killed me. Cannot watch that movie without crying.

Cars 1:
In a moment, a character being forced to choose between a socially expected response (ie winning), vs what they actually want (ie supporting others), for some reason it really kills me. It takes Clint Eastwood level focus not to tear up.

Cloudy w a Chance Of Meatballs:
The family relationships really touch me - The desperation of the parents, trying to buy their childs love; the nativity of the children, ultimately leading to their own downfall; the determination of the heros, their willingness to die faceless for their own beliefs... *sniff*

Kung Fu Panda:
The leads lack of faith in self, developing into such confidence / strength. The willingness of the supporting characters to accept their own weaknesses. 'Fate' meaning an individuals decisions are ultimately useless.. I always cry at this end..

So.... What movies have your cried to recently?
Are you a Woman or a Kid/

Seriously, that's too much crying for a fictional thing, I don't think that's very normal.
... you say this as if crying is a bad thing.
Which implies that, the fact that women and children cry more openly (because they're ALLOWED to in our society) is because they're inferior in some way, so it's 'expected' and thus we 'forgive' them.

It's actually quite normal. It's worse for people to hold in their feelings. And good fiction is the type that's able to tug on your heartstrings. So if he is affected by some very good story telling, it really means that he has a heart, and is a lot more in touch with his emotions than a lot of people are, of either gender.

Crying isn't shameful (unless it's because you're having a spoiled tantrum. Then you may shame them as much as you want). Everyone needs to stop acting like it is :/

A few scenes towards the end of Cloud Atlas. I've seen it four times now, and some of the worst offenders get increasingly harder to watch once you know what is going to happen.

Most notably, Frobisher's suicide. Watching Sixsmouth run up the stairs, knowing he's going to be late by mere seconds, all after missing Frobisher by a hair just a scene or two earlier... it's freaking agonising.

Also, Sonmi-451 describing her idea of Heaven as a door opening, moments before cutting to a shot of a door opening and Adam Ewing walking through to greet Tilda.

Seriously, phenomenal film.

That is singlehandedly the saddest episode of a television program I have ever watched. Ever. I didn't cry in it, but it ruined my mood for a week. So unbelievably sad. And people say the show isn't well written.

I'm not really the crying type and definatly wouldn't at the movies. Closest I got was Marley and Me, and the last time I genuinely cried was when my own dog died. Fucking horrible experience. I dunno, I'm too detatched from most movies to care greatly. If it were a long running series of movie I could understand maybe.

AT the movies? The last time was Up, I think. Otherwise I'm free to tear up in the pathetic privacy of my room.

EDIT: Ooooh I remembered now, that fucking Paperman short maimed me as well.

I tend to quite a bit when it's appropriate, mostly because I'm very emotionally repressed and it just tries to come out whenever it can.

Recently watched "The Land Before Time" and the combination nostalgia + Little Foots mothers death scene just brought down the walls.

I don't think I've ever cried during a movie.

Probably because I'm much more likely to give incredibly pissed and just abandon the movie then and there. Never watching it again. Nope. Nope, NOpe, NOPE!

I don't think I've ever full on cried but I've definitely had my eyes water up a couple of times. Honestly there's nothing wrong with it, it just means you get more invested in whatever you're watching. And that's a huge plus because you get more mileage out of your entertainment.

When I was younger I teared up at the end of An American Tail where Fieval finally reunites with his family and everything is tinged in gold - Bluth really knows how to tug the heart-strings.

Also, Return of the King got me - twice: first was Rohan's charge at Minas Tirith - unbelievably epic / second was Frodo reuniting with everyone (wonder if there will ever be a reuniting scene that will play out differently, like it ends up pissing people off or something).

I have only cried for 4 movies & they were all from Japan.

Only at the end:
--------------------
X1999.
Please Save My Earth.

Through the whole thing:
-------------------------
Barefoot Gen.
Grave of the Fireflies. (I start crying 5 minutes in when you hear the little girl laugh).

I will answer your question with a question: There is a Draco in Harry Potter?!? I wasn't aware :)
Yeah Malfoy's first name is Draco. And it seems you've already answered my question with your question, unless there's another Draco I'm unaware of.

The beginning of "Up." Such a heart-breaking yet beautiful portrayal of true love and loss.

I cried at two moments in Wreck It Ralph. If you've seen it, you oughta know the bits I'm talking about.
I can't really remember any other specific times I've cried during a movie, but I'm certainly not afraid to admit that I have a natural, emotional response to something.

I cry. But I cry at the weirdest moments and I feel shy about that.
Als I hate to be seen crying at cliche love scenes.
heroic stuff is not so bad
