I Despise Minions

I used to like frozen, it was an okay movie, then frozen was everywhere I looked. Even on a fucking plastic container of grapes I bought at the store. Delicious grapes, stupid marketing.

Now its minions that are everywhere. I just tone it out and ignore anything related to them... though not this thread for some reason.

I don't see the point of them. I can see the role they had to play in Despicable me but they didn't warrant an entire spin off film in my opinion. Now my Facebook feed seems to have been taken over by them as a lot of the people I know have young children and think they are hilarious. I am getting sick of the sight of them.

Funny, I barely even notice them. I don't use Facebook so maybe that helps, but really I think my brain just doesn't register them. They're like trees, always there but not something you actually stop to think about.

When I saw Despicable Me I actually didn't mind them- they were pretty harmless, if shallow, comedy sidekicks. But since they've been everywhere, I loathe them with the burning passion of a thousand fiery suns. Those shitty facebook quotes were bad enough, with the Minions it's just a handy reminder that I really need to shorten my friends list.

Minions are just a passing trend, the companies are cashing in while they can but shit like spongebob is like when you drop a deus and a bit clings on! I've never even found him or his show funny and yet there are so many memes about him, let alone all the other kinds of merch.

Then again I thought MLP and Pokémon was a trend that would quickly die out ...
