I finally Platinum Trophy'd my first game :D

Usually I look at games with trophies and there's usually some online only achievements or something insanely difficult like beating the game on super hard without using any items and without dying in 15 minutes, but I found a game that was the perfect combination of interesting achievements, and good enough for me to want to play it enough to get all those achievements.

So thank you, South Park: The Stick of Truth. You'll always be my first.

What was the first game you all got 100% achievements/trophies on? I'd love to hear about it :)

Skyrim. And I can't say it's all that impressive. Those games just hand out achievements. The only one of any difficulty is reaching level fifty and even that is pretty easy. The Thief achievement took me a while, since I never pickpocket. But other than that no problems.

Er... well... I guess DmC?

I'd "100%'d" games before that (though not too many, or sometimes they were games which didn't have too much in the way of collectibles/extra challenges), but most of them tended to be from an era before achievements were implemented into games in the first place.

As far as achievements are concerned, I've also got 98% in Batman: Arkham Asylum and 96% in Sonic Generations, just because I haven't beaten Hard Mode in AA and beating the final boss in Sonic Generations without being hit is insanely difficult.

Resistance 2 baby. Kill 10,000 people in ranked online matches. Never. AGAIN.

Second one was Call of Duty: World at War.

Arcade Games: Harm's Way, Minecraft, Super Meat Boy (holy fuck that one was hard, but damn fun)
1000G: Sonic's Ultimate Game Collection (really easy, except for beating Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. I was 2 levels before Dr. robotnik and said fuck it, and entered a password for the last boss on easy mode. I beat the rest on normal. At least I know a bit more about Puyo-Puyo.)

I'm not a perfectionist and alot of those achievements are horrible tests of willpower in grinding, but there are some games I like that I tend to shoot for. I remember gears of war I think being one of my first ones...

also Civilization revolution, I couldn't get enough of that game on my 360. Although I did somewhat cheat that and get my greek civilization to completely dominate the game about 3/4 the way through and just went for each victory using that same save over and over again. (domination,cultural,space,economical,etc..)

Nothing. Not one damn title. I hate trophies/achievements. Gaming always feels better to me without them, honestly. Most are tedious and boring as fuck to complete. That said, I do like neat easter eggs.

I've not touched consoles much this generation. The only platinum trophy I have is for Persona 4 Golden and I finished it while I was busy being horrifically ill and in bed all of last week. I beheld the naked truth, and that truth was entering battles so that Rise might say a different line so that I could get Hardcore Risette Fan.

The last one I got was the one to visit Nanako in the hospital 3 times and for a moment it made me feel like a terrible person.

I've tried getting Platinums and all Achievements before, but I don't always do it.

On the 360, the games I've gotten all the Achievements in are:
Lego India Jones
Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie

On the PS3, the games I've gotten Platinum Trophies on are:
Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy
Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus
Sly 2: Band of Thieves
Sly 3
Fallout 3

My first and only platinum trophy is from Fallout 3, this includes DLC missions too. As for achievements I can't help but think that too is Fallout 3...or Oblivion...ya know what, on the Xbox 360 my first complete achievement list was from Oblivion. I am really, really bad at getting every achievement/trophy and just generally don't care, mainly because I can't stay online long enough for THOSE trochievO's and, I also hate/suck at playing games on higher difficulties.

My first platinum trophy was for Uncharted 3, it wasn't too hard to be fair but oh so very satisfying to get. I tend to look at the trophies that a game to see if it is platinum-able and decide whether to try for it. Its not a deal breaker if I can't (damn multiplayer trophies) but I do like to try.

Well done on your first platinum, I will probably get the Stick of Truth platinum myself on my next play through.

Most of the time I've come close, but I'm not willing to WORK in my HOBBY.

I play video games for fun, not as another job.

Hey, that's actually my first one as well... or it will be once I finally do the boss interrupts achievement.

No game has made me look for an excuse to keep playing like that one has. It's a short game but with all of my playthroughs, I've clocked 81 hours in it.

My first platinum was with Sonic Generations... My second was Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy... (Edit: My third platinum was the first Ratchet and Clank game... Literally forgot all about that one, sadly... and my fourth was Kingdom Hearts Final Mix... DAMN AM I FORGETFUL!!!)

...and that's about it, I think... I'm happy that OP got to platinum Stick of Truth, since I realized I "fucked up" on certain areas of that game to not make me get some of the hidden trophies in that game...

Also, I was one trophy away to platinuming Lollipop Chainsaw... Too bad it's a trophy based on fucking chance, basically...

Oblivion, but that's because the achievements are really easy (all completion ones).

I plan on Silent Hill: Downpour being my next one, do the remaining side quests, kill with guns, kill weeping bats and get the Surprise! Ending. It can all be done in one playthrough.

The only one I have gotten a platinum in is the Walking Dead.

You get it for finishing the game.

I got close with Assassin's Creed 2, but I am not running around to collect a 100 anything. No. Just... no. Also got close with Final Fantasy XIII, but getting those last few trees grinded up is just so... ugh.

Congratulations on your Stick of Truth platinum! Such a great game.

As for my own experiences: I used to be pretty fanatical about collecting trophies on the PS3 - my first platinum was Fallout 3 - but I have made the switch to PC gaming and as such, I don't own a PS3 any more.

Fortunately, my achievement/trophy hunting endeavours could be continued on Steam, so my first "perfect game" (Steam's term for collecting all the achievements in a game) there was Sleeping Dogs.

D'you plan on getting more platinum trophies, OP?

Would probably be Mini Ninjas, or whatever the game is called. Saw a friend had platinumed it, checked it out and thought it looked quite fun, bought it and begun my journey. Felt so awesome when I got it. It was simple to platinum, but it had a few somewhat hard trophies as I recall. If a game has online, beat highest difficulty or hard "collect all x" trophies I tend to not bother at all.
Should have thirty platinums or something now... so many hours/so much money lost on the PS3. :C
