It had some nice music, though. Hymn to the Fallen is some great stuff.
(It should be obvious I judge movies by their music.)

Or any of the movies that Hans Zimmer is involved in. Anyways, I can see why you didn't like it as it can be quite polarizing. Do you just not like war movies, or is it just this one movie?

Actually I haven't seen it, so I have no opinion on the matter. But I liked District 9 so perhaps I should check it out.

Never seen it, but I find that I don't really like many of these 'classics'.. another that comes to mind is the Godfather, I found that movie so incredibly dull.

I have never seen it, and have heard that it is historically inaccurate. If you do want to see a historically accurate war movie then I suggest "Tora! Tora! Tora!" Or "The Longest Day".

That's cool dude, I remember watching apocalypse now and losing interest in it.

Yeah man me too, I sat through the redux edition and was left wondering where all the acclaim comes from. I got the themes and the subtleties in it, but I wouldn't watch it again.
For the OP: I liked saving ryan's privates.
