Well the rehash was to get Portal veterans familiar with the experience again by showing them the same concepts.

and of course it was simple in case (shock horror) that the person playing hadn't played Portal before.

And here I thought this was the DISCUSSION forum. Apparently it isn't, because sharing your opinion in a thread in which you willingly chose to open and read, then criticize for existing and being annoyed with isn't discussion, it's just being a condescending person.

No, no, this is a discussion forum. That's why we're complaining, this has absolutely no potential for discussion. Even the most die-hard fan of something has to realise that not everyone in the entire world will like it, Portal 2 had flaws that were, to me, made forgivable by the overall quality but I don't feel somehow compelled to force that view on you. If you really didn't like the game and want a discussion about its flaws then please do make a proper critique of it, that's something we'd like to talk about. Otherwise what exactly do you want us to say?

I agree and seriously, is this going to be the new Half-life 2, with several threads popping up every single week with people not understanding the appeal of Portal 2? I really, really don't hope so.

It was an enjoyable game, too bad you didn't like it, but what is it you want with this thread, that people try to convince you otherwise?

I really hope this doesn't happen. People need to learn what opinions are. Just because everyone else likes it does not necessarily mean you will like it.

Where the hell are people getting the idea that Portal 2 is at all funny or witty? It's a bunch of shitty cynicism/sarcasm/mockery that I've heard a thousand times before in high school.
