In years past I'd be found drowning myself in anything that had fifth letter of the alphabet and the third, uh, number of the, uh, numbers on it. Basically, if I saw that yellow and red <font color=bbbb00>E<font color=red>3, I clicked. I watched. I read. I planned my life and my future spending.

But this year I skipped it all.

I didn't even really have anything better to do but I still didn't have that burning desire to follow anything. And it's not that I wasn't interested because of course I was. But I just wasn't excited. I guess as I've gotten older and less susceptible to hype, I just want to let all the hoopla die down, then go back and sort through the mess. And as I'm sure you know, the cream rises to the top. Well, the same can be said about the turds. But the turds of E3 are fun to read about too.

What's my point? I'm cool with being late to the party when it comes to videogame news. I even do it with games themselves. I just finally got Mass Effect - I know. What? I'm also notorious for stacking up issues of gaming magazines and waiting months or years before I read them. I've got about 13 unread issues of Game Informer stacked neatly, aging like a fine wine.
no, it was only us over-eager gamers who sat through hours of mind-numbing BS to see that two minute trailer we wanted to see.

so if anything, you saved yourself some trouble. :D

and i just started playing mass effect recently as well. s'all good.

I'm sorry to say this but you've missed the best E3 ever. Some things were bad, but what was better was the best ever ^^

I haven't really paid attention to E3 since Nintendo started catering to the drooling horde of idiotic casual gaming fans, aside from my obsessive need to watch every bit of coverage for Resident Evil 5.

I'm sorta in the same boat as you, although I did watch the Microsoft press conference as well as the first part of EA's (I stopped after Littlest Pet Shop, because quite frankly they were irritating me with their nino games...) I wasn't that amazed Metal Gear 360 was the only exciting thing for me as I've never played a Metal Gear game before, so now I can actually try one.

Oh, and Natal, Google it.

Perhaps the always-current internet is to blame: I've kind of become addicted to browsing old media (old news stories and reviews, playing old games) simply because there's way too much current media thrown in my face every single minute of every single day. It hasn't had time to simmer on the stove of society, and I think I like my gaming news well-done.

So how do you like yours?
Frankly you didn`t miss all that much, it was better than last years ,but still quite shit

I wasn't planning on following the E3, I usually don't. But I strayed to a link about Sony's presentation and for some reason I clicked it at the exact same time the presentation started, which I find pretty creepy.

I took the time to watch it, then looked around for brief summaries for the others.

There's only one thing that really made me think, and that's that Sony MUST make an online dungeon crawler based on those motion control wand's sword and bow tech demo.

I didn't follow E3 at all this year either. Partly because I'm still trying to beat games I have from years past, and partly because I don't care too much about games that aren't even projected to come out for another 2 years or so.

Here's a summary of what happened, when you think the E3 news is old enough to be of interest. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.116635]

But I can see what you mean. I like to keep up-to-date on my news myself, but every once in a while I'll go read an old magazine and think: Wow. Things sure were different back then! It's a neat feeling.

I've never watched E3. Dont worry dude you didn't commit a sin. I usually pick up the info that spilled out of E3 eventually if not just a few hours or even minutes after its announced.

E3 coverage on the internet or on G4 even can be a little boring because you have to sit through all of the things that people with half a brain can tell you its gonna be shit.
Come on, who cares about the next Wii Play or the next Madden football game, or really anything EA puts out (excluding Dead Space and the upcoming Dante's Inferno.)

But yeah, I've always gotten my E3 info one way or another and its never been from any E3 coverage

Man, I'm angry with myself that I missed so much good stuff. I guess I'll take this weekend to make myself a little "mini-E3" and queue up some trailers and whatnot.

PENIS.
OBSCENITIES ARE BAN IN THE GAME, AND IT'LL JUST SHAKE IT'S HEAD IN DISAPPOINTMENT IF YOU TRY. I KNOW I'M TRYING CAPSLOCK NOW THOUGH.
