I didn't think it'd be this bad...

Escapists, I am fresh out of my wisdom teeth removal surgery, and the pain-killers I was prescribed barely take the edge off. The pain is pretty bad. But for discussion value of this thread, what did you do that you thought wouldn't hurt as much and etc., etc.?

I didn't think cutting off infected skin would hurt all that much. Yeah, it did. A lot.

Also, stubbing you toe always hurts more than it should.

Cutting part off my finger off. Only the tip, but it's a lot more painful than you'd think.
Oh, and getting a papercut under the nail. That's a *****.

When I had teeth out, I kept ice handy, and kept flushing out my mouth with water. The clotting was disgusting.

OT: Trying to stop the horse pissing off the other horse. Cause it bit the other horse's ass, and the other horse kicked me. That douche.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and 8 hours later, went out to dinner to a Chinese restaurant. It was delicious.
I've also tried sparring against a UFC fighter [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanderlei_Silva], who specializes in Muay Thai Clinch. He got into the clinch, and needless to say, it hurt quite a bit.

Breaking my front tooth on the sidewalk. I always figured it would hurt, but dear god that was horrible... This is coming from someone that has broken his head twice and has been in more accidents in his childhood than a crash test dummy.

That one was still by far the most horrible.

Walking up to the front deck of my boat... I slipped and ended up dangling from the back of my knee over one of the safety rails o_O

Ouch. Hope you feel better soon. Whenever I've got cold limbs and I whack them against something, it always hurts more than I expect. And getting something stuck in your eye hurts like a ***** sometimes. Something tiny can sure cause a lot of pain and distress. A lot of other things that should cause me pain don't, however.

When it comes to pain, I jab my fingernails into the skin around the wound.

I remember when I got my wisdom teeth out. I accidentally tore a tiny bit of my stitches and it was the most unbearably painful 2 mintues of my entire life. Thank science for fast acting painkillers.

I do find it odd that everyone I ever seem to hear about having their wisdom teeth out with painkillers that don't work.

I got nothing on this, but if you asked my mate, he would say biting through your own face.

He got kneed in the face in a rugby game and his tooth went clean through his lip. Next day he turned up at school with a face full of stitches. Then the morphine wore off.

He started screaming and freaking out because of the pain. We had to get 6 people to hold him down.

Most eventful English lesson ever.

Well, I jumped off a tree, and fell on my arm, thinking I was going to be able to roll and avoid injuries.... I was soooooo wrong, and broken bones really really hurt

I'd just learned how to knock someone unconscious by squeezing their chest. Someone did it it to me and I hit my my head off the floor. The laughs of amazement from the experience soon turned into screems of pain.

I wanted to jump off from a swing lost my balance and fell on my arm when it was at the peak. It was when i had about 75 kilos and 1.70 so i kinda dislocated my shoulder. In my had i thought : meh a fall it's sand what can happen? But it wasn't my arm that really hurt! My soul was the problem! My mom tried to hold my shoulder in place using one of her most colorful and frilly scarfs. I had to go to the hospital, 2 to add to it, like that WTF!?
