He just wouldn't. For example, he likes Fallout 3 and Bioshock and even states it but he still slates them because that is what his little show is all about! Taking overexaggeration and his awesome wit and analogies and turning it all into something we, the viewer, can really enjoy because he knows that anyone whose played the game he is reviewing would get his jokes, whether he meant them or not.
As for his tastes, such as Silent Hill 2, PoP... He likes them because they are original. Which I agree with.
Come on guys! Enjoy what he does! It's why he does it.
I'm sure he would be the first guy in line not to take EVERYTHING he says literally
