Well, to put it bluntly, I'm saying I disagree with you on the idea of doing something that "would be evil if it was real, but isn't beacuse it isn't." I can understand doing it for the sake of completeness of a game experience, but having fun doing it (and I should have said this earlier: without a sense of ironic hypocricy) is something wholly alien to me.

We got into this whole HU- small discussion about thought processes and the like, and ethicality of commiting ("would be") heinous acts in video games.

"Many people tell me I HAVE to get Vista because it supports DX10 and I ask "So what" and they give me some excerpt about graphics and Crysis and crap"

And all the othe Crysis bashing people, I'll be doubly mean and quote CrysisL "Thats bollocks and you know it!"

Crysis works on DX9c machines, meaning you can play it on XP. Secondly, don't go saying it's all about the graphics, Crysis has pretty decent gameplay attached, which you'd know if you'd played the demo. They are just flaunting the graphics because they can. I'm not wowed by graphics, to me they enhance the experiance, they don't define it.

Zera, you seem to me as someone utterly fixated on hating western games, saying they are all the same about violence and killing etc etc etc.
Question: Aren't most Japanese games the same thing as well? Not about violence and killing sure, but the gameplay repeats itself. Seriously, you list Twilight Princess as one of your favs, Has zelda changed at all since Ocarina of Time? Dosen't seem to me that it has. I'm not gonna be posting again, but I think you need to wakeup and actucally look around.

Yeah I admit I was a bit arrogant at the beginning. I look at my game collection(psp,Wii,ps2, and DS) And I only have one American game, Guitar Hero III (metroid prime 3 if you want to consider it). Its not that I dont want to buy American Games its just I dont find any good ones on the systems. Probably because most of the good stuff is on the the "Next Gen" systems, PS3 or XBOX 360, And I dont have either yet. I would rag on Call Of Cuty 4 until I found out about the "perks" on multiplayer( where u can set options like explode after you die, on your character). Both games are great, but I lean toward Japanese games a bit.

If it would be worse to want to play a GTA game where you turned your sister into a whore, or where you had sex with her. With your tentacles. By way of a maze-navigation minigame.
I think I vomitted a little in my mouth there o_O

"Portal sucks lol :)"

You are obviously delusional and should seek professional help immediately. Maybe there's a 'Portal Dislikers Anonymous' meeting you can attend? ;)

There are plenty of games that have been mentioned so far that should be available on the systems you mentioned, but I have to throw in my recommendation of Psychonauts. If you can find it on PS2 you should definitely try it.

I enjoy my "western" games, if you don't like it, you can go watch some anime and pretend people care about your elitist gaming view.

I think the whole western = killing, I have a little problem with, I haven't seen a western game yet that did not justify the shooting (if there were any such violence), perhaps GTA, but then again, it doesn't try to push you into killing, it's quite optional, but then again, it doesn't punish you if you feel like being a psychopath, but by that it stays true to the realism, since there is no sense in that you can kill bad guys, but the civilian walking behind you, you can't even shout at, even furthering the realism, GTA also shows your gonna be a naughty boy, the police are gonna tear you a new a**hole.

GTA also shows you that death is perfectly reversible at any hospital, unless you literally lose your head, but luckily the player's is very firmly duct taped to their body. A nitpick, yes, but GTA being realistic? I guess in a lot of ways, yes, it is.

GTA is a very good game, actually. It sells because it's good, not just because of the violence. I could write a big list of reasons why GTA is a good game (fact), but I won't.

Yeah, sometimes it's a matter of fact that a game is good.

Agreed on the rest of your list though, but Western games are not necessarily bad. I could say plenty of negative things about "Asian" games too. Just watch Yahtzee's video on that Zelda game, and you'll know what I mean.

"I do not like bad games at all" would be a better title for this thread.
