So this topic is just about how TC is happy he bought his Wii and is tired about people bad mouthing it? Not to be rude but what is the point of even making a topic like this? It's nice you enjoy your system of choice but to be honest there isn't a need to stand on the roof top yelling that you've been a gamer since the NES era. I never understood people who have to do this no matter what game/system. If you like it good, if not good. Every has a thought on it, but something to this wall of text is just to much if you ask me. Maybe I should list a topic of the 80+ games I own for the DS to show my love for the system eh?
Aww, give her some points for effort! She did put thought and effort into writing the OP.
In this kinda situation, its usually not too hard to coax the topic of discussion out of a poster.
And from the input of others, she has provided further information on the thought that brought her here, and she seems pretty well-written, herself.

So, OP, what input do you want from us? Dealing with people criticizing something we like needlessly? When our love of something has gone against the norm? Our feelings on the Wii? Try to be specific; we'll find our way outside of the box on our own.
The topic boils down to this, "I love my Wii that I bought and I have games that I love to play or would love to play and I don't understand why people don't like it". Again there wasn't a need for a topic about a system you love because

A. If you love it yes there should be reasons why you love it, but you don't have to go to a board of people and make a topic saying how you love it and don't understand why people hate it. Since those who hate it make their points clear, hell I love my Wii but I like to have my nun chuck on my left hand (left handed person) but some games require you switch it and it really is a pain.

That and the list of games that come out that are not mini games, or are not rehashes, or aren't fast cash in's are few and far apart (And I'm not including games I like/wanna play). Hell even the Mario 25th anniversary game was a direct port of Super Mario All Stars (And I don't mean Super Mario All Stars+World I mean the first version), and I feel bad for anyone who bought that game cause that was a good example of nintendo cash in. Like I said I love my DS yet a lot of people I know call the system crap because of the gimmick or the poor graphics, maybe I should make a list of the 80+ DS games I own and the 20 or so DS games I want to get but can't find or isn't out yet or is to pricy for me at the time.

Thats good you dont regret it. I do in some ways. Metroid Prime 3: Curruption was the only game I found truely amazing. All of the rest of the games that I hyped for were kind of disapointing. And buying a console for one game, I am not sure that can justify spending that money on a wii, and then never using it

ive got to admit that some nights with my friends either at my house or one of thiers, we have spent many an hour drinking, playing mario kart wii and yelling abuse at each other (although i have found if u take drinking out of this the abuse doesnt always stop, damn blue shells), but if i had gotten a wii from a retailer at full price and only bought mario kart, with the amount of time we spent playing it i gotta say it would have been a good purchase but i got mine for cheap when my g/f sister was selling hers. i also do own a few more games on the wii such as mario sonic olypics and house of the dead: overkill personal favorite right there. So i believe this all boils down to persoanl expirience and that makes my wii a good buy in my case

The #1 thing to not liek about the wii is really jsut the sparseness of it's library. That said, all of the good games on it, are really, really good.

I don't think the wii gets the credit it deserves. It became my console of choice for a good two years and I've had many long hours playing Twilight Princess, Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2..... the list goes on. It's visuals can impress as shown in the Mario Galaxy and I've never had so much fun in multi-player than I have with Mario Kart. On the surface the wii does appear gimmicky and I can see why people who haven't owned one see it as gimmicky but all it does is take a little time and effort and you can find some really great unique games which you can't find on any other system.

Bit of advice: Epic Mickey really isn't that good, it plays like a ps1 game and the atmosphere that you'd expect just isn't there. The only redeeming factor is the storyline, but I didn't even make it half way through due to the many flaws the game had. From the games you've listed I'd suggest Little Kings Story. I haven't played it but have read loads of great reviews for it.

Too be honest I think he created this thread because of the amount of people who stand on a rooftop saying they hate the wii. The wii has had a lot of hate in it's lifetime and countless threads have been created by people who say they regret their purchase and how the wii doesn't have any games etc. I don't see any problem with him creating a thread in response to all the hate.

Fair enough point, I could see why you would be fed up enough to create this thread. It does come across as you trying to be a paragon for Nintendo though, and I believe it all can be boiled down to an old adage:
No matter how pure your intentions may be, they are always muddled by your actions.

After all, I could easily create two threads similar to this one: One explaining why I own a PS3, complete with a list of the 30+ games I own for it, and one explaining why I own an Alienware laptop complete with an outrageous number of games installed, so many in fact that I needed to get an external hard-drive. But doing so would be pointless, even if all I wanted to do was try to dissuade all of the hate that the PS3 and Alienware get. Though I suppose I'm in the position of not really being one of the people you were trying to aim your OP at if your words are to be taken seriously, as I am not someone who hates on a console for no reason (ahem Except for the Wii U at the moment), especially when said console sold the same number of units as the other two consoles combined (or something like that).

The whole fight fire with fire thing rarely works, if you love a game or system random people on the internet shouldn't bother you for it or let it get to you. I mean you don't see me making a topic on JRPGs and why they are great when ever the topics about why JRPGs are bad or give me a reason to play a JRPG topic pops up. I can list games till my fingers go numb and tell you why I like it but I honestly doubt it will change someones thoughts on the genre.
