The topic boils down to this, "I love my Wii that I bought and I have games that I love to play or would love to play and I don't understand why people don't like it". Again there wasn't a need for a topic about a system you love becauseErana said:Aww, give her some points for effort! She did put thought and effort into writing the OP.Arehexes said:So this topic is just about how TC is happy he bought his Wii and is tired about people bad mouthing it? Not to be rude but what is the point of even making a topic like this? It's nice you enjoy your system of choice but to be honest there isn't a need to stand on the roof top yelling that you've been a gamer since the NES era. I never understood people who have to do this no matter what game/system. If you like it good, if not good. Every has a thought on it, but something to this wall of text is just to much if you ask me. Maybe I should list a topic of the 80+ games I own for the DS to show my love for the system eh?
In this kinda situation, its usually not too hard to coax the topic of discussion out of a poster.
And from the input of others, she has provided further information on the thought that brought her here, and she seems pretty well-written, herself.
So, OP, what input do you want from us? Dealing with people criticizing something we like needlessly? When our love of something has gone against the norm? Our feelings on the Wii? Try to be specific; we'll find our way outside of the box on our own.
Too be honest I think he created this thread because of the amount of people who stand on a rooftop saying they hate the wii. The wii has had a lot of hate in it's lifetime and countless threads have been created by people who say they regret their purchase and how the wii doesn't have any games etc. I don't see any problem with him creating a thread in response to all the hate.Arehexes said:The topic boils down to this, "I love my Wii that I bought and I have games that I love to play or would love to play and I don't understand why people don't like it". A. If you love it yes there should be reasons why you love it, but you don't have to go to a board of people and make a topic saying how you love it and don't understand why people hate it. Since those who hate it make their points clear, hell I love my Wii but I like to have my nun chuck on my left hand (left handed person) but some games require you switch it and it really is a pain.
That and the list of games that come out that are not mini games, or are not rehashes, or aren't fast cash in's are few and far apart (And I'm not including games I like/wanna play). Hell even the Mario 25th anniversary game was a direct port of Super Mario All Stars (And I don't mean Super Mario All Stars+World I mean the first version), and I feel bad for anyone who bought that game cause that was a good example of nintendo cash in. Like I said I love my DS yet a lot of people I know call the system crap because of the gimmick or the poor graphics, maybe I should make a list of the 80+ DS games I own and the 20 or so DS games I want to get but can't find or isn't out yet or is to pricy for me at the time.
Fair enough point, I could see why you would be fed up enough to create this thread. It does come across as you trying to be a paragon for Nintendo though, and I believe it all can be boiled down to an old adage:MissAshley said:Snippity III: Revenge of the Snip
The whole fight fire with fire thing rarely works, if you love a game or system random people on the internet shouldn't bother you for it or let it get to you. I mean you don't see me making a topic on JRPGs and why they are great when ever the topics about why JRPGs are bad or give me a reason to play a JRPG topic pops up. I can list games till my fingers go numb and tell you why I like it but I honestly doubt it will change someones thoughts on the genre. The SettingSun said:Too be honest I think he created this thread because of the amount of people who stand on a rooftop saying they hate the wii.
