the main reason I immediately discredit it so much is this...
If I don't like the publisher as a company. They have done things in the past, and continue to do things today that continues to cause problems for the industry and user. Therefore, I will not support them by purchasing any of their products. This isn't so much the case with Activision though. I just find most of that they publish to be boring.
I do not find "safe" IP's enjoyable. I don't enjoy that kind of gameplay. I want something new, something with a challenge. A mix, and match of game-play elements, like NS2's commander. When I play a game, I want to think and be part of a well established in team achieving what feels like is impossible, like in Payday 2.
To call me a "hater" would sound weird. I just don't find it fun, and I've seen patterns that suggest that it just won't be fun for me. So I just don't pay the game any mind to even know about the predator mode.

Which, to be fair to the haters, is game-breakingly overpowered. Lock-on one-hit kill? Check. Thermal vision? Check. Cloaking ability? Check. And to top it all off, when you die you set off a bomb that instantly kills all enemies on the map......yeah, that's fair. /sarcasm.
Case in point. This sounds mind-numbingly boring as fuck. At least in hidden, you lost a lot if you instantly killed someone, and there was no lock-on for it either. You had to time that shit right, or you were about to get it in a very uncomfortable place.
