I never really got the whole "emo" movement. Why do I need to listen to music that tells me how much life sucks when I can just turn on the news? Music is my escape from all that, I don't need it to be sounding off the same way the news does. The only other one would be reality television, never did understand the appeal of it.
Haha saying "music is my escape" makes you sound more emo than most of the bands XD

Anything with Will Farrell, or anything regarding the "Jackass" people, up to and including the video game.
I like the earlier stuff Will Ferrell did (anchorman anybody? :p ) and while I can watch jackass and find it amusing I will never get how it managed become a genre on its own.

I don't get extreme home makeover. Okay so you built yet another house for a family that needed it that's great but it makes for one shitty TV show.

The In-Betweeners and the Mighty Boosh.

Both of them are shit, and I have come to the conclusion that the reason they are so popular is that half the country have about three brain cells between them.
I liked the Mighty Boosh. Sadly, as far as TV goes, it's one of the few half decent shows, UNLIKE the AWFUL In-Betweeners.

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

I've been told I have a great sense of humor. I can find humor in anything. Stupid, inane things, evil things, racist/dead baby jokes, anything that's meant to be twisted or funny, I find funny.

What I DON'T get is how this show is so popular, and how they keep getting celebrities to appear. I find about 1/10 skits actually amusing (Zack Galafinakis and his gravy salesman), but 90% is drivel. Okay, so you wrote a song about having long legs, and aminate yourself as walking in the clouds. Should I be laughing?

I actually fear that this is what the next generation finds funny...

Does anyone here like the show?
I'll second this. Put Survivor, and American Idol in there too.

EDIT: Pretty much all reality TV.

Donnie Darko - what is the appeal? A strange kid talks to a psychotic rabbit, what the fuck?

The Matrix series - possibly the most overrated set of films ever... nothing happens!

Ricky Gervais and Lee Evans - they're not funny.

And now I'm going to retreat to a safe distance... Mmm, the moon should be far enough.
Wow, Lee Evans... I actually sat down and watched a whole lot of his stand-up, since I thought I must not have given him enough of a chance. And by God, it was dreadful.

My two housemates, who I actually had a lot of respect for, were sitting next to me, pissing themselves laughing.
I agree, I just don't get it, he's got a high voice, he sweats a lot and says stuff that isn't funny. Whats to like?

To be fair, I did later concede that my dislike for the In-Betweeners was probably because I'm a bit too old for it. Mighty Boosh, though, I just can't make excuses for. Which is sad, since I actually really like julian what's-his-name, and noel fielding. I am also a massive fan of matt berry, richard ayoade, matthew holness etc. (basically I just fucking love Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - you should check it out if you haven't seen it, it's got all those lovely chaps in, minus the irritating American one).
I'm older than you and even inbetweeners feels just how the people in my school were at the time. So for me the comedy plays off that experience of my school days. But I can see why people wouldn't find it funny especially as it seems very male oriented.

As for Mighty Boosh, yeah some of it can be hit or miss and its probably best enjoyed while high. But I find it weird you could like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and not the Mighty Boosh.

Did you like Man to Man with Dean Learner by any chance?

The Office, Transformers, Halo 2 (1 and 3 were good, in my opinion), Call of duty series (Other than 4, it was f'n A), Final Fantasy series, Bioshock *dodges thrown salad heads and sticky copies of Atlas Shrugged.*

And don't acuse me of being a Halotard, I just thought the "creepy mystique" of Bioshock everyone keeps talking about feels like roundhouse kick to the face compared to Half-life 2's sublety. And the fact that I'm a hoar for online shooters in general: Halo 3's campaign was definety worthy of all the ire it got though.

American Idol and Tim and Eric. I've never really watched Tim and Eric, but it looks like it's just two guys making faces in a green screen

Hmmm...
Most songs on the radio
Disney Channel
Several fashion choices (seriously, why are baseball caps cool to wear backwards? And what's with the somewhat large, poofy caps?)
Pretty much any guy in media deemed to be "hot" (Mostly a matter of being straight.) Seriously, what is it with thin, weaselly pretty boy's over big manly men?
Reality shows.
Soda and energy drinks. (Has something to do with my first experience with soda being that brown stuff that stings your mouth.)
Anything concerning celebrities and being "hip" or "cool" (Fixation on coolness isn't that big at all, but it still exists in forms.)
MTV
Twilight (Vampires that sparkle? Pursuing a relationship with someone you have no chemistry with at the expense of everything else? Misogynistic implications? Making a baby fall in love with you? I'll just stick to good ol' Harry Potter, thank you.)
"Girl emotions" (Not all girls, but there's one who has a deep liking for her ex-boyfriend and believes in true love. I don't think it's sweet, just creepy and stupid.)
Being gangsta
Athletic wear like Underarmor (What's wrong with shorts and a t-shirt?)
Professional sports (I watch the super bowl and a game here or there and play football, but I really don't keep track of teams at all.)
Professional wrestling
A lot of things, really. I prefer my life in the sacred mountains of geekdom.

Greenday. This was in grade 5 (I'm currently in grade 9) I asked my dad to get it for me once when we where at HMV. Everyone was talking "OMG THEY ARE THE BEST!!! <3<3" Listened to it thought cool it's not bad. A few days later I listened to it again and it was crap.

Also the guys who did Falling Leaves. That song was complete bull!

Edit: I almost forgot Borat. Yeah it wasn't funny at all. So he had a cra-ray-ray-azy accent. So what? Nothing else was amusing, let alone funny

I am going to get the biggest beatdown in history for this, but...

I don't get Transformers. There, I said it!
People like transformers because of the explosions and CGI and Megan Fox. Also cuz some of them watched the cartoon when they were younger.
I like the occasional explosion-filled, CG heavy action movie, but Transformers was just God awful. It was poorly written, poorly directed, poorly acted...put simply, it was atrocious to watch. I was dragged into the theaters by a few friends when it first came out. One of the only movies I walked out of. Michael Bay is one of the most overrated directors/producers to have ever walked this Earth. I can understand some people like generic action films, but Transformers didn't even reach that level of quality.

Gears of War
I'm with you on this one. I really just can not see what the appeal of Gears is, whether it's the first game or it's half sequel. It uses a bad engine (Unreal Engine 3 is one of the worst engines out there), the gameplay grows old VERY quickly, and the story is...well, not there. The characters are bland, generic, and a bit stereotypical (even racially stereotypical). I don't know, perhaps someone could explain why they enjoy it so much beyond the mindless, gratuitous violence.

Family guy.

'Hurrrrrr, fat people are ugly/worthless/stupid!'

'Hurrrr, women are only worth anything if they're pretty and like to show their tits!'

'Hurrr, rape is funny, and raping children even more so!'

'Hurrr, gay people are creepy and weird and wrong, ewww! Also, they all talk with that stereotypical lisp, each and every one, and are effeminate.'

'Hurrrrr, poop/fart/herpes/shit/pee/chlyamdia/abortion!'

'Huuurrr, stupidity is funny!'

'Hurrrrr, this is as bad as *Insert reference to 30-year-old meme no one cares about any more*!'

There, I just summed up the entire series for you. The thing literally has no merit at all; why do people enjoy this? Has society actually been dumbed down THAT MUCH?

honestly I can't get TV anymore I feel so weird stunk watching commercials , DVR

and the weird need for G4 to have Attack of the show "live" when it's mostly pre-recorded anyhow

wow I'm showing my age I just felt like I wanted to: crank back the clock to the 1990's reading a paper issue of game fan and waiting for starfox 64.
