I don't like bacon and I am not talking about Kevin Bacon [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000102/].

There, I said. Quite the shock, I know.

For discussion value: any foods or drinks (that are popular) that you don't like?

False, you love bacon.

Quit lying to yourself and embrace the meat wizard.

Even vegematarians loved bacon.

Blk Water

I hear about how it's the second coming of Raptor Jesus from a whole bunch of people, but I can't taste, feel or even notice a difference. As far as I'm concerned, it's tap water with too much red and blue dye mixed into it.

Alcohol, of any kind. Takes like piss and makes you stupid.

McDonald`s `consumables` (I feel like it`s a stretch to even call it that), all of it, I`ve gotten violently ill immediately afterwords EVERY time I`ve ever eaten there, plus it all tastes like crap.

I don't eat bacon for religious reasons, although for all I know it could be delicious. Hate cheese and by extension pizza. It grosses me out to see people eating hunks of the stuff.

I'm not crazy about it either.
I can eat it, and it tastes like food, but I would never eat a bunch of it in a short or long period of time.

I don't like bacon either, unless its cooked to the point of being like a meat cracker. I hate it when its all wet and glistening and slimy with fat, and its chewy and greasy like runny eggs and *vomits*

But the foods that I flat out cannot tolerate AT ALL are as follows:

Coffee: I hate the way it tastes, I hate the way it smells, I hate the culture that surrounds it, I hate its ubiquity, its saturation, its omnipresence all the more because it literally makes me wretch. Its like the majority of the population is enslaved and worships this black fetid shit water, this disgusting filth that pollutes the air and poisons the minds of the populace...and they pay out the nose for it. I hate getting a mixed bag of jellybellys because inevitably I'll bite into a coffee one thinking its chocolate or something that looks similar and then I just want to cut out my tongue.

Alcohol: Read what I said about coffee, nix the parts that don't apply, and add in the fact that it kills thousands of people every day. Almost every girl I know is a total alcoholic, and even more of the guys I know. I have a friend whose mother died of liver disease, and he drinks constantly. The ONLY time my last girlfriend DIDN'T get wasted every night was during the week prior to one of her annual "drink like a fish" parties so she could in theory lower her tolerance enough so she could get super wasted that night.

Swiss/Provolone Cheese: They taste like nothing. Its like eating soft plastic, totally devoid of any flavor or color. Give me some Feta, Gorgonzola, Bleu Cheese, Goat Cheese, Cottage Cheese, Ricotta, Colby, Pepper Jack, Sharp Cheddar, Gruyere, Muenster, Mozzarella, American, and probably an endless supply of other cheeses and I'm lovin it. Give me Swiss or Provolone and I won't eat it.

Asparagus: It smells bad, and tastes like blood in my mouth. I'm pretty sure its not supposed to taste bitter and coppery, but it has every time I've tried it. I do like some bitter things. Tea, Grapefruit, and Brussels Sprouts being the only examples I can think of.

Shrimp/Lobster/Crab/Scallops/Oysters/Clams: I can't stand the taste, smell, or texture. I do like fried clams, because they are similar to calamari/frying makes everything taste better, and some clam chowders though. As much as I seem to hate shellfish I LOVE sushi. Unagi is my favorite :3

Canadian Bacon (so I guess ham): I don't like it, it smells terrible and tastes worse. Actual hams, like the kind you might eat on a holiday are pretty good. I wouldn't put them on my pizza though.

Papaya: I've tried several varieties, and several different times to like this fruit but I can't. It looks cool, it has a cool name, but it smells bad and tastes...I don't even have a word for it. It isn't sweet, bitter, salty, or sour, and its definitely isn't umami. It doesn't even taste like food, I may as well be eating my mouse pad while holding roadkill under my nose. I can't even imagine what eating a durian would be like... I just think its weird that I love Mango, Passion Fruit, and Guava yet THIS tropical fruit I detest.

Really salty things: I don't like hard pretzels, most soups, soy sauce, plain potato chips etc. because I don't like salty tasting things. That they are also terribly bad for your health is also another good reason to avoid them.

Other than those things, I'll eat pretty much anything that isn't moving of its own accord. I loves me some jello. Even the green kind. Its the only good part of being hospitalized. Apart from the morphine.

Whaaaaaaaaat? But it's so salty greasy and made of meat! That's three things the human brain is hard-wired to crave! How could you not love those salty little pig strips?

Ketchup has never appealed to me. I don't think it's disgusting exactly, just not something I'd choose to put on my burger, in my hot dog or on my fries. Ever. As far as I'm concerned putting ketchup on a hot dog is the same as putting strawberry sauce on a hot dog. It's just too sweet to have with hot food.

I'll eat it without a problem though. I'll just never ask for it.

Your arteries thank you in kind return, I'm sure.
I think I like everything that's popular, except for salads. They won't make you any friends though.

You're not alone. I don't really like bacon, either. That is, I don't seem to enjoy to the same degree that other people do. It's just fried strips of meat; nothing special. I definitely couldn't eat it with every meal.

That really depends what ketchup you're eating. Some of the crappier brands have a shit ton of added sugar. I don't know why, Tomatoes are sweet enough already without adding sugar.

I prefer asian pork belly. It's like Bacon, but healthier.

Bacon is fine, but I don't understand how people put it above the massive list of other far superior pork preparations.

As for me, I can't do ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise. My list of tolerable condiments is pretty erratic.

I don't like bacon either, or any other meat products for that matter. And I hate fast food in general. I prefer to stick with fruits and veggies.

Even on burgers? Is your disdain for bacon religious? I could understand and respect that.
It's not religious. It's like KoudelkaMorgan describes it:

I suppose I could eat bacon when it's part of a recipe. It's like cheese[footnote]Not to be confused with: 'I like cheese'[/footnote]. I don't eat cheese - what's the word...? - bare. I only use cheese as an extra ingredient and only in small numbers.

I actually like the smell of coffee beans even though I don't drink coffee. Well, I guess cappuccino is coffee. But I only take it with extra milk and sugar. And I never drink it in the mornings, plus I never drink more than 2 cups a day (usually only 1).

I too think bacon is overrated. Other than that I ain't a fan of Baked bean either. The only time that I do like it is when it is on toast (the toast and bean textures go hand in hand)!

What? Bacon is really good, and it isn't that bad for you (organic bacon).

I second everyone who said alcohol, tastes just bad. Also bad experiences, so every sip makes me feel like I am going to vomit, fun times.

Also, lots of condiments, I prefer my things relatively plain.

I like bacon, but it's not the ambrosia many consider it to be.

I'll go with alcohol, I have no intention of drinking it. Admittedly I've never had alcohol, but the smell alone makes me feel woozy, and I can imagine the taste would be even more blarg.
