I only like to have bacon as a topping on burgers and cheese fries. I don't really care for it by itself.

I'm also not that big on pizza unless it's cold.

I can't fathom how so many people like cheese and onion. Pasties or crisps, I can't stand the taste.
I also more or less hate steak and beef in general. Bleurgh!

I'm kind of with you OP except that I've never had bacon. For the first 24 years of life it was for diet and religious reasons (vegetarian + kosher). But once I kicked both of those ideas to the curb I never ate it out of health concerns and in general my roommates eat so much bacon that I now really dislike the smell of it.

I don't like cheese.

The only thing I can eat cheese on is pizza, and it needs to be light at that.

I like bacon but only if it's really good quality, and I only like it in small quantities and typically something accompanying it, like bacon & egg, or a burger/roll/etc with bacon in it, etc. Can't just stuff it down my throat on it's own lol, not a fan of greasy foods.

As for popular stuff I don't like, alcohol easily tops that list. It just...tastes really bad, what can I say? There was that one night where we had quite a bit to drink (younger days, yay for peer pressure) and I remember the giddy/light-headed-ness, slurring words (being fully aware of it) and feeling strangely detached from my limbs. I can't imagine how anyone can ENJOY not having 100% control over their body like that, I sure as hell didn't and all it did was turn me off alcohol even more. I'm aware the best way to have alcohol is in sensible proportions, while eating other snacks, knowing your limits, etc...but that doesn't make it taste any better :p

Hmm what other popular thing don't I like...oh yeah, Croissants. It's just BREAD with a shitload of butter in it. Croissants with stuff in them (e.g. ham) are tolerable, but the plain ones are just...blargh, so bland!

How dare you utter such blasphemy, the humble cow has served us for thousands of years. If you can get some really prime cuts which are quite healthy (rich in iron), taste absolutely heavenly if cooked to perfection and combined with nice seasoning/sauce.

Jesus H christ I'm getting hungry just looking at that.

I'll go along with the others here who have disdain for alcohol. I don't like the way it smells, I don't like the way it tastes, I don't like how it feels going down my throat, I don't like how it feels in my stomach & I *definitely* don't like the way it makes me feel mentally.

Tomato sauce is better than ketchup in every conceivable way. Except it doesn't keep like ketchup does. Because mold is too smart to grow on ketchup.

I don't like spicy food at all. You want your food to put you in pain? Seriously? Are you going to try chomping on a cactus spines & all next?

Prefer my food plain.

Also don't like bananas, can't really put my finger on why.....

Gravy, and by extension most meat you have with it.

I cannot stand gravy, most of the meat you have with gravy is kept warm by the hot gravy, so without gravy it goes cold and I hate all cold meat as well except ham.

There's a LOT more to it than just "pain" obviously, otherwise you wouldn't have entire continents/populations with thousands of dishes and crazy-complicated recipes going for the perfect mixture of countless spices.

This explains some aspects of why people love spicy food: http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2013-06/fyi-are-people-born-tolerance-spicy-food

Alcohol, of any kind. Takes like piss and makes you stupid.

McDonald`s `consumables` (I feel like it`s a stretch to even call it that), all of it, I`ve gotten violently ill immediately afterwords EVERY time I`ve ever eaten there, plus it all tastes like crap.
I am sorry, that's a lie. All the booze you probably had was either cheap, or one step above. Now lets say you did have some good stuff, well you can't use that against all other brands.

That's fine if you don't like bacon but if you also don't like chocolate, well, then you just have no soul.
Whenever someone says the sushi is really good, I give it a shot, but I never like it. Same thing with Mexican food.

Meatloaf. I absolutely detest meatloaf in any form. It is a horrible abomination created during the 1950s with the sole purpose of selling cans of Campbell's Tomato Soup. The same goes for green bean casserole, that shit was created to sell Cream of Mushroom soup and it is similarly disgusting. I will not eat that shit and begrudgingly make it at my work.

While I've found some bacon I enjoy, for the most part, it tastes bad and ruins everything it touches.

I'm also not a huge fan of coffee. OK, no, I don't like the coffee often brewed here in the United States. It tastes like flavored water at the best of times, but normally tastes like someone dropped a piece of food in the water. I don't mind coffee drinks or strong coffee.

Oh, and cheap beer (i.e. mainstream American beer). Even the smell of some cheap beer makes me want to throw up. However, just like with coffee, I absolutely love the higher quality, albeit more expensive, stuff.

Bagels. I've been living in America for just over a year now and I still don't see the appeal enough to see things like dedicated shops to it in my area etc.

I love chocolate. Glad I still have a soul.

I like sushi. I have tried different restaurants and I have noticed some pretty big differences in quality. My advice is to try out different places. It can make a difference.

I don't like bacon either. I do eat meat as well.

I've never understood why people see that as a big deal though.

Different toppings/fillings too, there's no such thing as a single "sushi" flavor. Toppings/fillings make the most obvious difference to taste, since there's a million different things you can put on/in sushi (hell, while I was in Japan, I had a hamburger sushi, which had a little grilled beef patty on it). Even if you're comparing fish to fish, tuna and salmon have very different flavors in sushi. Tuna is salty and fishy as you would expect, but salmon is soft and buttery, like avocado.

The three main "styles" (nigirizushi, makizushi, temaki) also change the flavor, since the total amount of topping/filling is different.

Bacon, ESPECIALLY when it's extra crispy is the best thing in the world. You're missing out on a lot!

As for food, I'm a little picky with regards to "weird cuisine", heck I stay away from balut (sudden, stark realization when I was 8 years old caused this) and it's one of the cuisines of our country!

The only things I can think of off the top of my head are celery and clear spirits.

Celery isn't quite what I'd call bland but the taste it does have is rank. When raw it is way too crunchy for a salad component to be, and as soon as you put it near heat it turns to icky mush. Also it is negative calories. My body can burn about 3000 calories a day just by sitting down, I don't need food that's going to make me any thinner.

And by clear spirits, I mean stuff like vodka, gin, white rum and sambuca. All of these drinks make me feel sick BEFORE I feel drunk. I don't mind being sick after being drunk but feeling sick while you're mates are still warming up is a bit lame.
