The modifiability of almost any game, you can change any aspect of almost any game to add and create something new and special. There are tons of Fallout 3 addon's that to be honest actually make a stagnant game fun for me again, because they are freaking brutal.

ive have a bunch of friends who play PC and they think that consoles are worse and so im like screw that but i also see that there are alot of reviewers who also use pc and im just wonadering... whats so special about PC?
Because playing on a console is akin to playing on a 6 year old PC? Because Consoles require a TV to function? Because A pc is much more convenient and is multipurpose? Because mouse&keyboard is superior to a controller for almost every purpose? Isn't that reason enough?

They tend to be far, far, far more powerful, do more and the games tend to run better. And of course a mouse and keyboard is a far better set up for some games e.g. FPS', and you can use a pad or wheel for racing. Best of all worlds.
while that is true couldnt a console be more powerful than a PC, especially if it isnt a gaming PC plus couldnt you use a pad and or a wheel to race on a console too?

PCs have better multiplayer, graphics, modabilty, and Steam. But it is slightly more expensive. I don't do PC Gaming any more since I don't have a good computer for it and would rather not use my brothers if anything bad happened.
Slightly? BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Well considering how many non-pcgamers buy excessively powerful machines to run Microsoft Word on... yes slightly. Do you own both a computer and a console?
Yes. Pc's pretty good too. If I just upgraded the graphics card I can probably max most of the games out right now.

.............You have to compare a gaming PC to a games console as both are meant for gaming. What is the point of comparing an office PC to a games console? That's like comparing a PS1 to a super computer - just pointless and clearly biased.
You can't use a mouse &keyboard on a PS3/Xbox etc for gaming.

PC is easily the best thing for gaming. More expensive, but far, far more powerful, more reliable and does a whole lot more.
Yeah, I'd have to agree here. PCs can be buffed up to levels far beyond consoles, even if consoles come with a baseline. This alone makes the PC a versatile beast.

Other than this, there are plenty of uses for a PC other than gaming, which can hardly be said for consoles (Sony's extra OS bullshit, anyone?).

There's also the fact that I grew up with a computer. I remember playing on an old Atari before my first Sega Genesis, and around then I had upgraded to my first Windows machine.

Cut of various drivel
Can't believe this guy went on for four pages about Little Big Planet, Wow... great game, but compared to PC exclusives like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Cryostasis, The Void or even Minecraft. LOL The can't be serious can he?

Nah... Couldn't be, no one is that thick, good joke sir... Well played.
No I didn't go on about LBP for 4 pages, people kept on quoting me and I had to re explain my opinion again and again and again
You ever heard of that? An opinion? Wow I can't believe this guy likes S.T.A.L.K.E.R more than LBP, not sure if he's serious or not, nah he's not serious its impossible for anyone to have a differant opinion than me /sarcasm
In fact I'd just about finished arguing with those guys before you had to bring it up again and outright insult my opinion.
But I should know better than to express an opinion thats differant to the escapist masses...

Oh yeah, this was what made listening to all the "PC gaming is Dead" that much funnier... ALL YOUR GAMES ARE MADE ON A PC console fanboys...
Making games != playing games.

Really, making games can be a fun and rewarding kind of work, but it's not like playing games. At all.

I like how these days PC games are made with lower graphics requirements since they usually need to run on a console as well. Everybody wins.

You have to upgrade it every year instead of every 5-6 years.
I havnt upgraded my PC for gaming in 3 years and dont plan on doing it until it wont run games. and at the rate the games are going that will be in another 2-3 years before it doesnt meet minimum requirements.

I like being able to play games that the consoles can't handle such as ARMA 2. I also like the numerous mods you can have for the PC. However there are also things I prefer on the console like FIFA, and certain sandbox games like GTA4. There's certain games that feel more natural with a keyboard + mouse, as well as with a controller. In the end it's all just a matter of which do you prefer.

Better aiming for FPS and RTSes, mods for games, smoother controls, you don't need to buy a new one, only upgrade every so often, like once a year if you know what you're doing so you never need to buy a brand new computer, plus they get cheaper games. Or at least they do in Britain, PC games in my area retail for about £30 new.

Downsides are you have to worry about system requirements, DRM and the thing possibly dying for no reason. But these are just an avid PC watchers observations of hanging out with a PC gamer for 7 years or so.
so true :)

im a pc gamer in of 9 years now, my PC has always been my primary choice for internet surfing, gaming, speaking with my friends over skype/ventrilo/teamspeak/mumble, i use it for video editing, music, modding of pc games, watching movies, downloading movies/music, getting latest news on games and movies, watching different TV series... can a console do all that ? ^^

but i still own a PS3/PS2 for the games that didnt get on PC, God of War, Uncharted and so on... also because i wanted a Bluray/PS3 :p made that perfect choice for me then ^^

but my PC is a high-end gaming rig, and just got a new gfx card 2 weeks ago so i got ready for Total War: Shogun 2 and Crysis 2.. tho waiting on the bloody DX11 patch grrr..., but last time i upgraded my PC's GFX card was 3-4 years ago so its not so bad, most of you people just need a job :p then its not that bad to have a pc to upgrade once a while ;) also... it beats the living shit out of my PS3 in FPS, the response with a mouse compared to a controller and precision... is just unmeasureable atleast imo... and i have a FPS on my PS3 KZ2... ugh the sensitivity is just slow... and ive even turned it up to max.. still to slow for me.

but i dont hate console players because they play on console, just what ive experienced is that most ive met is they have a huge hate for PC players, but its always like that i reckon. i just like my PC more because i can do so much more on it compared to my PS3. and i can write a REALLY long detailed list what the PS3 cant do compared to a PC ;)...

also, in my country atleast PC games are cheaper than console games... actually with a huge difference :p

aaand STEAM...oh i hate that thing... made me buy 4 splinter cell games in a package for 27? (Chaos theory, Concivtion, Double Agent, and the first SP game)... 120 games on my steam list so far.. :p
