I can't stand sports games. But damn, I love me some Bloodbowl.

I also can't stand racing games these days simply because I suck at them, but Need for Speed: Shift managed to pull me in regardless.

I normally don't like sandbox games, but I love inFamous and inFamous 2

I hate shooters(unless they have RPG elements like Fallout: New Vegas or Mass Effect) but I really enjoy the Halo series. Especially ODST.

I'm not a fan of online multi-player, but holy hell I love playing competitively in Starcraft 2.

I've never really liked puzzle games, but Catherine is one of the best games I've ever played.

I've never had good experiences with The Elder Scrolls, but so far I'm actually enjoying myself with Skyrim.

I don't like Simulation games but the Stronghold series has always had me hooked!

I don't usually like racing games either, but I loved Burnout 3.
All of those amazing saturday mornings racing on Island Paradise Southbound with my brother.

I've never really had the patience to play an RPG but so far, Skyrim is freaking awesome!

I wasn't a big fan of fantasy RPG's, but oh my god i've fallen in love with Skyrim, this is not the type of game i play to win, not like those other games where you're forced to do the main story to get all the good stuff, this is a game i'll play to enjoy, nor because i want things, but because there's a solid experience. i've barely touched the main quest I've just been wandering around the world, performing secondary quests. this is definately a game i can see myself still playing 3 years from now

I really don't like RTS's, but StarCraft 1 & 2 are up there in my "Best Games Of All Time" list.

Also, I generally hate racing games, but Mario Kart wins it.

And I don't like fighting games, although I do love Street Fighter 2 and Super Smash Brothers.

I don't usually like shooters but -> But i love Deus Ex (the original, the best game ever made)
I don't usually like strategy games -> But i love Disgaea series (as well as other Nippon Ichi strategy games, except Phantom Brave for some reason)
I don't usually like wide open Sandbox games -> But i love Saints Row 2 and Morrowind

I REALLY don't like the trend of "modern military FPS with two-weapon limit and regenerating health where the multiplayer overshadows the single player" that was made popular by CoD4, but at the same time I actually got around to playing the CoD4 campaign about six months back and I absolutely loved it. It's too bad that CoD single player has been going down the drain ever since.

I don't usually like modern military shooters, but I thought Modern Warfare 3 was kind of fun. The single player campaign was fun, the graphics were good, and the action sequences looked awesome. The Special Ops mode was a kick in the pants as well; my friend and I played it co-op and loved it. It was a fun challenge and a very different and enjoyable experience from what else there is to try.

I don't like either anime or music games, yet I bloody love Elite Beat Agents. No clue why but I've played the hell outta that game.

Normally I don't play pure FPSs (and I often don't like it as a mechanic in RPGs), but I love me some Halo. Actually, I think the only shooter I liked with other elements thrown in was Deus Ex Human Revolution. The shooting is what ruined Fallout 3 for me (I got it because I love Oblivion) and the rest of my first person games don't use guns.
