There exists a school called(I shit you not) the University of Maryland University College. I did a triple take the first time I saw this commercial and could not believe just how ridiculous it looked and sounded.

So can anyone make any sense of this and is there any hope for mankind?

EDIT: are some people realizing the humor I intended? Obviously I still want to live on this planet lol. Me and a buddy saw this on TV and laughed our asses off over the absurd redundancy.

It seems simple enough to me. If a university teaches you things, then a University University Colloege should logically teach you three times as much. It's a good deal. I'd avoid going to a University University College Academy School, though; they're notorious for causing people's heads to explode due to the shear volume of knowledge that they dispense.

It all has to do with accredidation status, which is administered by an institution outside of the school itself. I attend a school which is both a College and Seminary. However, I am a College student, and therefore attend the College at Briercrest College and Seminary.
