I fail to see how this is funny.

I as well don't find anything funny about Big Bang Theory. I really tried to like it, but it's just too flawed. First of all, I believe it is miscast. You know for example how a terrible show like How I Met Your Mother is rescued from the depths of hell by only one actor, just because he is so well cast? Well, in Big Bang Theory I don't find anyone convincing or redeeming. I just keep thinking "Look at all those grown handsome men who put on glasses and pretend to be geeks". Zero suspension of disbelief. Also, smug dialogue is smug. Gtfo with that Juno-like nonsense. Jokes? Too forced. Plot? Zzzzzz. Stereotypes? UP THE ARSE. I find this show's depiction of the nerd culture as accurate and welcome as a hypothetical show's depiction of black culture that includes people who eat watermellons and KFC. In short, it's poop and I don't get it.

Also, some of the stuff I've seen on here is funny! I don't care that you don't think so, but you can't just say it isn't smart. If you don't like it fine, but don't try to kid yourself by saying "I don't like the childish humor it has." Because that's bull and you know it. Even stupid funny movies have SOME smart humor. I thought it was funny too, then the guy who posted it tries to act as if he's going to get unsuspended for saying it wasn't funny, which was a double funny to me.

Family Guy. Yes I know in this day and age everything can be deemed as offensive to some race, religion etc but I believe this show takes things too far.

iv been umming and aahing as to wat to add to this thread, and iv decided on this. I think you've missed the point of family guy, which is a great comedy, but it likes to poke fun at things. Its a bit like borat (which im amazed no1s listed yet, because tht was very much a marmite comedy), it cod be seen as offensive to a section of society, but rlly its actually taking the racist or etc view and showing how silly it really is. And like the FCC episode, it can show the viewer how stupidly far are protectiveness has gone. If you havent seen PTV i advise you do, even if just for the song. However i can relate to how the random mid episode bits can put people off, ther have been a few where i felt i should have got up and done sumthing else while it was on.

I haven't missed the point of Family Guy, it's not the only comedy that pokes fun at various races/religions etc but I just do not find it funny. I cannot understand how anyone could, hence mentioning it and the topic of the thread but don't get me wrong I don't care that other people DO enjoy it. If you can laugh at all these things then that's great, it must be great not to really care enough about anything to be offended, all I'm saying is I do get offended/upset by certain things. So it's humour is not to my taste.

At least their progressive about it though. Not many shows have both male and female rape. Of course its not funny when it happens to real people but....well neither is being attacked by a giant chicken (Actually i guess that wasn't really that funny on fg either, just really cool to watch)

Well yeah I do agree there, any of the stuff that is offensive to people in any show not just Family Guy is horrible when it's happening to you or someone you care about.
If people can still laugh about it I can only hope it means they haven't been through such an ordeal or whatever, and that's good. I can't hold it against anyone. I'd love to be able to laugh about everything but life isn't always that easy x

wow I thought OP was talking about people who thought things weren't funny for logical reasons... "AUTO NOT FUNNY 'CAUSE OF STUFF I DON'T AGREE WITH" = fail sense of humor, and no, family guy DEFFINITALLY does not go to far, I would understand if you were talking about south park, though I still think south park is hilarious, (at least the good episodes, not the retarded ones like the queefing one..) and I can tell you must be overly conservative, or a cathotard, due to your dislike, obviously, of anything remotely sexual.

Lucy getting canceled was clearly the act of Satan and an unloving god. Tim and Eric's popularity....do i really need to explain it? I mean you have gotten drunk or high before right?
Obviously shows like frisky dingo and lucy are much better when your doing that stuff but sometimes you just want to sit down and watch whatever is on adult swim.

i didnt like it when i was high. i loved lucy and dingo though and i was sober watching them. plus, you ever see that letter the creator of lucy wrote? you cant read it without thinking "tim and eric were involved in its cancellation"
