I fail to see how this is funny.

I'm still trying to get used to The Office. I'll be watching and there are moments where I think, "okay, I see how this was supposed to be funny, but it isn't."

I'll also go with Will Ferrel movies.

[EDIT]

Another thing about humor is that most of it seems to be directed at 12 year old boys and stoners.
It is easy because they will find anything funny.

Disaster Movie. I hate that film, but most of my friends think it's really good.

Jeff Dunham, the Achmed the Dead Terrorist puppet guy
100,000,000 views on YouTube.

I shall list some of the things that he says that warranted immense laughs on his video (these only come from the first few minutes, for reasons that should be fairly clear):

Puppet being taken out of box
"good evening, infadel"
"what kind of terrorist are you?" "A terrifying terrorist"
"Not really scared" "Boo!... Scared now?" x 3
"Silence! I kill you!" His catchphrase, so x 1000
"But you're dead, you are all bone" "Its a fleshwound" My mum can reference Monty Python too, thank you

Also... "random humour". I quite liked Weeblstuff and similar when I was younger, but having seen most of that I get pretty jaded by any humour which is based on randomness. Family Guy (and offshoots), a lot of internet cartoons and sometimes The Mighty Boosh (although, I think that they can be genuinely witty sometimes). Its such easy humour and, ironically, predictable.

Sarah Silverman. I seriously don't get why anybody thinks that she in any way might be funny

Anything that has to do with, and I mean no offense here fellas, but "frat boy humor".

Seriously. Adam Sandler and his ilk? Not funny.

Superbad and other movies like that? Not funny.

I just don't get that low-brow "humor" I guess, I want something a bit more dark and/or intelligent. =/
Agree 100%. Dane Cook was only funny the one time I was drunk.

My Name is Earl, Friends, The Nanny... actually, just any American sitcom aside from Seinfeld and 30 Rock.

Edit: And all comedy movies except from Monty Python. Yes, I saw the Hangover. No, I didn't think it was funny.

Atop the Fourth Wall has this effect on me. I just don't see how Linkara is considered funny. Perhaps I'm not familiar enough with comics to appreciate his style, but then again, it's not as though his schtick is made up of nothing but references to comics, like he's the Dennis Miller of graphic novels. His jokes just fall flat, pure and simple.
While I understand what you mean, what I don't like is Blistered Thumbs and Game Heroes. There are a few exceptions;
Until We Win
Still Gaming (Only the ones containing Lee and only Lee. Dena is shit to be honest.)
Angry Joe (Some of it.)
Benzaie (Some of it.)

But what I REALLY hate is Handsome Tom and those lot. They are so unlikable.

Well, humor is pretty fucking subjective, so what's funny to one person isn't to another. I'm pretty open-minded, but pretty much anything with Adam Sandler in it I don't like, and Seth Rogan is pretty irritating too. And I don't like any of those "indie-comedy" films, first because I think "indie" people can suck a huge fat dick, and also because Michael Cena has this eerie habit of popping up in every fucking one.

But Rogan's jew-fro is hot, so I have to give him points for that.

Skit comedy, and sitcoms. Especially sitcoms. I hate that crap.

I was gonna say Dane Cook, but that's just too easy.

Anyway, I do have another answer. Have you, as a sober person, ever been around a bunch of stoners? If you have, then that's a perfect example.
Yeah, and defiantly this. Sorry tokers, my new best friend here is right. Drunks on the other hand, god bless their antics. I can watch a drinker on a riding lawn mower all day.

Humor may be relative. Film at 11.

Personally, I don't like humor that's overly crass. The wrongness of it detracts from the funny.

I'm gonna say Two and a Half Men. I've met many people who say they love that show and find it funny, yet at best it will make me chuckle once or twice.

This happened when I watched The Daily Show for the first time. I'd heard it was clever and funny, but I didn't crack a smile once. I can only assume that the American humour just didn't appeal to me. Not that I don't find most other American comedies funny.

Stuff like Peter Kay and most of the Live at the Apollo crowd. It's not that I have a big problem with stand-up comedy, but I find that a lot of the material presented on that show is either painfully clichéd or just unfunny. Now, George Carlin, on the other hand...

Oh, and much like Captain Cook said earlier, I've never really found xkcd all that funny, either. Partly because of the content, but also partly because of what I perceive to be a sort of... holier-than-thou attitude that many of the fans I've spoken to seem to have. Not that that's true for most xkcd fans, of course - I'm sure it's just a few. It's still pretty off-putting, though.

Its even worse when your not planning on being sober.... things can still be funny though...

OT:Funny is just a matter of opinion really. But I personally find most of the things mentioned her so far funny, I guess I've got a broad sense of humour. Except youtube vloggers... Fred and the like are just not funny.

Slapstick humour and all derivatives and relatives. I simply fail to see the humour in other peole getting hurt.
I'm gonna have to agree with you for the most part, especially in the "Something about Mary, testicles caught in zipper" category, hey that involves genitals and half assed slapstick, 2 points!

Not really arguing more of a question, but I think slapstick had its hayday and I'm curious if you saw it. Old bugs bunny and tom and jerry. It wasn't that they got hurt that was funny, it was the delivery, the character expressions, the reaction, the absurd effects (Tom is in the shape of the gutter running on his toes) They were pioneering this sort of absurd non realistic violence. Also Three stooges, simply poking a guy in the eyes or hitting him with a pie isn't funny, but the context and delivery of the show lent hilarity I just cannot do justice here.

That said I'm reminded of something else I don't find funny. Videos of real situations of people getting hurt, the pinnacle of which, again, seems to be somone landing on thier crotch(why does this problem keep coming up, maybe somethings wrong with me?). But regardless of details I hate this most of all, It's not only lacking any creative comedy, but showing a lack of human empathy that's frankly pretty disturbing. Yeah I play violent video games and gun down """people""" like its nothing. But unlike certain Australian officials, I get a very diffrent fealing when real people get hurt...unless they deserved it.

I've never particularly liked XKCD either. The occasional panels are funny, but usually no. I assumed that other people only found them funny because of the sheer obscurity of the humour - you laugh, simply because you "get" the joke in the first place, rather than the joke being actually funny in itself. I felt the laughs were sort of self-congratulatory in that respect.

Family circus, It's terrible nothing about it is funny. Marmaduke is pretty bad to, I have a dog that gets into the garbage and tracks mud on the carpet, thats not humor thats what animals do. "That's what she said" is over used and only about 2% of it has any humorous merit.
