as I'm am sure most of you are aware of if you tune into the comedy network now and again, two shows that were more or less filler shows, Todd and the book of pure evil, and workaholics, are both being canceled after one season. both of them (especially workaholics)had some great humor through out. these genuinely funny shows are getting canceled, while on other channels, even more fucking cops shows are getting renewed. i honestly don't think i can count the number of generic cops shows on the air that shouldn't be because there already doing the same thing with a slightly different hook or setup. makes me sad.

Ratings sir, ratings.

If shit is popular, it sticks. Gold, however great it may be, is doomed if not enough people appreciate it. *sips cup of tea poignantly* Quite.

EDIT: More OT: I'm sad to say I've never watched a full episode. I've only watched maybe the first third of the episode where they meet the child molester and I thought it was funny. I just didn't get hooked on it though unfortunately.

Workaholics was brilliant. Hell, even the commercial intro/outro scenes were really well shot. It also taught me about how B-rad is rad. :(

Chuck is a show that just about every season is a battle for. Since at least season 2 there's been the threat of cancellation, and it's gonna be over soon. NBC signed on Chuck for 1 final season, and I hope the writers just go nuts. Kinda like what we got with 'Power Rangers in Space' where they had one last shot and they made arguably the best season of the show.

I'm just sad because it has always been a very good show. The writing is solid, maybe a bit formulaic at times, but always fun and has enough honestly funny humor to not let certain conventions spoil the good time. The action and stunt work also was a great highlight of the show too, hell they won 2 Emmys for their stunt coordination.

Ok theres a reason why workaholics is canceled. Its just bad. Its a filler show for a reason. Basically the only reason it existed was Comedy central hoped to divert people from watching/falling asleep to adult swim.

Honestly I watched six of the 10 episodes and about the only positive thing I could say about it was it was at times funnier than the UK version of the office, which wasnt often and thats basically exactly the type of show it was built to compete against.

Anyway... its not surprising, there was very little that was funny about the show.. unless you love anti humor and dick jokes, then yes, its a tragedy.

which is why we have all those shitty Seth McFarlane cartoons.
I agree with you 66.66%. Family Guy is despicably boring to watch and the Cleveland Show rarely makes me laugh, but my heart always has a home for American Dad. It's gotten a lot better in quality and is by far the strongest of the three in my opinion.

The Seth McFarlane Cavalcade of Comedy though, ah boooooo...

i can tolerate American dad because it's more subtle and i dont think Seth is one of the main writters, and any show with Dee Bradley Baker (one of the best voice actors ever, wiki him and you'll see) is doing something right.
