I'm confused man, seriously.

So let me get this straight, one day you woke up and you said "Yeah, I'm gonna stop shaving and grow a full beard!" and then after 2 weeks you realised you did not have full beard growth yet. And this fact previously was unclear to you how exactly? You'd never noticed you didn't have to shave like, half your face every day?

Anyway I've never exactly felt I failed at facial hair, I'm one of those freaks of nature who had a full 3" beard by the time they hit 17 years old (well ok that's not entirely true; I hit the 3" peak when I was 17,5). Tried pretty much every possible variation in the past 6 years, currently keeping it neatly trimmed at a constant 1 week's length.

One of my best friends hit 26 the other day and although he's had a goaty and a 'stache for ages, he's only just begun getting some hair on his cheeks in the last few months. So don't give up yet, you'll get there!

About two weeks ago I decided to grow a beard. My school had strict grooming policies, but since I was out I decied to do it. So here I am, two weeks in, and only managing a bit of fluff on my chin and upper lip. I asked my friend about it, and he said if ive only grown that much in two weeks, then thats proably about the extent of it. It made me feel like a failure, and completely ruined my awesome beard plans.

So when have you failed at something you were certain you could achieve?
Just keep shaving where you want hair. As you shave more and more you will develop more and thicker hair shafts. This will take a few months.

I've managed to grow a beard which some people say is awesome and some people despise. As for failures, I've failed at getting a job thus far, but that's down to a load of daily mail reading morons who never employ someone under thirty for fear of them stealing the till. I will always and have always failed at not being despised by all other humans, but, at least, seeming as I'm not dead, I haven't failed at bringing down government. I just haven't suceeded until they're dead. XD

At exactly that, growing a beard.

I wanted one of those massive, lumberjack-esque beards. The types of beards that make you look badass.

But no, all I get is some chin fuzz.
Weak...
My girlfriend went away for 8 weeks and I grew a beard exactly like what you wanted. We nearly broke up. Cost me a weeks sex and like 8 razors. It's overrated. Plus she said it made me look homeless :(

OT: I guess mine would be keeping the beard then! Either that or when I tried to learn the entire song of hangar 18 by Megadeth about a year ago.

Still trying....god I have no motivation D;

That beard must have been filthy. Filthy enough to drive her away.

Not really. I didnt pay much attention to it. I only shave when I realise my facial hair is too long. Every 3 days maybe.

A school shouldn't be able to make you trim your beard too much.

What is the policy persey? Let your beard grow for 3 weeks, then shave. The more often you let your beard grow before shaving it, the faster it tends to come back. I used to get stuble in about a week and a half, not it's there every two days
No beards or facial hair of any kind. Hair off ears and neck. No piercings or tattoos. School Uniform worn properly ie shirt tucked in, socks rolled up.

Well I can tell you I prefer my women with shaved legs and armpits and at least neatly trimmed pubic hair. It's not unreasonable for them to expect a certain level of trimming/shaving in return.

I'm surprised they're allowed to control your facial hair to that extent. Like.... What if you don't have time to shave or something.... retarded

Can you really feel like a failure for not being able to grow a beard? Isn't there something more to failing than... genetics? I mean, don't you have to try and not succeed at something in order to fail at it? It's not like you have to try to grow a beard, it's just something that happens.

OT: I can't remember the last time I seriously failed at something and that's actually more depressing than being able to remember something at which I failed miserably... If I could remember a failure, then AT LEAST I could know that I tried at something, but given that I can't remember a failure, I suppose it implies that I either DEFY statistics or I just haven't tried at something worth failing at for a long time, essentially not taking a chance and that's depressing... because life itself is simply a game of chance combined with uncertain actions; even if they're uncertain at least they're actions... without those then chance takes control and who, besides perhaps Gary Gigax, would earnestly wish his life to be ruled solely by chance, dots on dice? Not I... /tangent done, sorry =/

I think I'll just stroke my big bushy beard. fnarr fnarr.

Actually I might shave it off. Sure, I look like some crazy Celtic Warlord (minus the muscle, and general badassery) but it's a pain. I struggle with soup.

My attempts at drum playing have been met with a limited success. Rock beats seem fairly simple, but I tried learning more jazz and ska and failed utterly. Who would have thought hitting stuff could be so tricky?

Hair on my jawline grows about 3/4ths of an inch in two weeks, but I always shave it back down to half an inch.
As for my chin, it's about 2 inches and it took about a month.

I've been able to grow facial hair since I was 14, though, it takes really long.

If out shaving was not up to standard, we had to shave with a disposable razor (I think it was used) and no shaving cream. The general idea was if you dont like it, go somewhere else.

Wow, your skin is fucking stupid. Shaving cream lubricates the skin, and yet you STILL take a layer of skin off your face (Hence the burning of aftershave).

1) you can easily cut yourself (unless really careful)

2) it's just harsh and painful uinless you use really hot water....

Your school is evil
