I finally fixed my avatar

I decided to pick my avatar because I'm a military history major. My old avatar was a picture of a SS panzer commander at Kursk, but I changed it to a picture of Akagi, since I want to do my graduate thesis on some part of the naval war in the Pacific.

I choose him because no matter how angry someone is, no matter how offended they may get at something I say, no one can stay that way once they look at Gizmo. He is too damn cute.

I simply liked the way Arthas looked in this picture, and, at the time, sought to look like him because of manly medieval men with long hair and such.

Oh, I'm also Arthas--plaguing your Lordaeron and best buds with Kel'Thuzad and such. I also made sweet love to Jaina.
I no longer exist, and am replaced by some other guy. Hope I get some flashbacks in Warcraft 4. D:

The reason I originally selected my avatar is that Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band.

The reason I haven't changed it in the intervening years is that I'm a creatively bankrupt ass and I can't think of anything better than the logo of my favorite band.

Also, the one time I tried to make a GIF for a new avatar (it was a Pokémon-themed one memorializing Takeshi Shudo, for reference) I fucked it up in pretty grandiose fashion.

It's actually 85x85 (but I guess you knew that, since your avatar is already that size).

Yes, now it's 85x85 px, back when I was looking for a picture for an avatar, it was 75x75. And there aren't many (read: any) new pictures that now work but didn't before.

Because I like space, and the first thing I think of when someone says "Pegasus" is the launch vehicle. Too bad it was only a partial success. But just look at him, he's so excited to be doing his job. Plus a family member works for ATK. The other avatar I use is a flipped Black Mesa symbol with "White Valley" Written on the top. I can't decide which looks better.

I made my avatar because I am getting back into Pokemon, Team Galactic is the best evil team, and Giratina is cool.

In maybe a couple of days, this post isn't going to make any sense, because undoubtedly you'll end up changing it again =P

I like Community, I saw this gif in a much bigger size somewhere on the interweb, thought it would make a good avatar (and judging by messages I've received it is) and TimeLord kindly shrunk it down to avatar size for me.

Well, people seem to like this avatar. And I've had it for a long time now, why change?

The original was bigger and had more images, I had to cut it down for size. This made me sad

But there's very few avatars with this theme anymore, so I feel unique still. Such a special snowflake!
