So I blew the dust off my old PS2 games and found one of my favorite RPGs. MS Saga: A New Dawn. A turn-based Gundam RPG. Started a new game so I could ease back into it, and I still loved it like I did back then. Then I got to the 2nd large boss fight and remembered how bloody hard the game was. The boss and his 2 adds. Doesn't help they take the hits for the boss and have heat swords that can overheat your mobile suit, but the boss has a near 1-shot ability. I beat it after a few tries, but the bosses continued to get harder and harder. I think I might replay Digimon World 2 next.

What have my fellow Escapists decided to replay?

Megaman X... it took me 3 lives to destroy that bloody mandrill, but oh boy it was worth it!
Either this new games have retarded me a litle or I lost my practice in 2d sidescrolling combat.

My uncle still has his Sega CD system and we decided, at one point, to try to play an RPG of his called Vay.

We quickly remembered why it didn't get played that much.

Recently dusted off my own PS2 and grabbed Shadow of the Colossus. Love it. It isn't that hard once you get back into it though.

TimeSplitters 2.
Guess I was more awesome as a child because I now struggle to complete the first level of the story.

Streets of Rage 3. Goddam, games were harder back then.

Ninja Gaiden, on the other hand, feels a lot easier to me now. Interesting.

CnC 95 and Red Alert 1. They really didn't care at all about throwing half an army at you within the first 5 minutes of starting your base.

The original Homeworld's last mission. Never beat it until I learned that the game checks how many ships you brought from all the previous missions, and then amplifies it's own starting fleet based on that number. Recycle your entire fleet before the last mission and win with ease... felt like cheating though, but still it was better than trying to salvage every ship you come across in every mission and being overwhelmed in 15 seconds in the final battle.

Ace Combat Six... Specifically Mission 4 in the mountains. I'm sitting there, listening to the briefing thinking:
"Okay, so I'm doing a ground support role... So I should go with the A-10A..."
Que me, after taking a hit to the right wing and various bullets near the end of the mission.
"Reaper Squadron!"
"What the fu-"
*BOOOOOOOOOM!*
I get blown out of the air with on missile...
And I nearly threw my controller at the TV... -_-
