I found my Escapist profile through Google. Now I'm scared.

Google me, and you find my crappy page on Wikia.

This one is 10x better, though:

I sometimes try to find myself on google, but never can except for old websites I no longer am registered to. It's funny, but eh. But try google images, it's impossible to find someone unless their name is very unique and can narrow down the searches drastically.

Lol, this is true for just about any account you make in anything. Welcome to the internets. This is why they tell you to not give out any personal information online :)

Found my profile, steam page and deviant art page. All on the first page of results, it's kinda awesome.

Dude, welcome to the age of technology. You can find just about anyone (sometimes with just a first name) by using the internet. And people put WAAAY too much information about themselves on social networking sites like facebook and myspace, making it far too easy for stalkers and sexual predators to use to their advantage. Just try to keep most private information off the internet and you should be fine. But be wary, big brother is always watching!

Big deal, I found my profile, an SC2 beta replay, and every post I've ever made that still exists. Also a tweet Sky14kemea made back when I had a different avatar.

Ahhhh don't be. You can find anything on google; I once found a College paper I posted 5 years ago on a education fourm.

If anything this should be a lesson about being careful about what you post online, if you can find it on google; imagine with others could find if they really tried or wanted to find you.

Food for thought.

If I Google Doctragon, the only page I find that isn't me is some random WoW character. This does sometimes unnerve me and it stops me from joining some of the *cough* 'adult' sites I visit sometimes. Hell, you might even be able to find this comment directly from Google. It does get worrying when most of my friends know of my online user name though my parents don't. So as long as you don't tell people who will think badly of you for whatever is in your Google search it doesn't matter.

Still, scary sometimes. :(

my username leads to a lot of things. My escapist account, websites where you buy hoses and other related hardware, beach umbrellas, and apparently Asian porn.

It's not the internet you should be afraid of, it's the guy standing behind you with a machete.

His name is Steve.
is his last name jobs? and why be afraid? first of all your not famous enough to have people other than close friends and if they don't give away personal info it's simply a matter of pride. seriously make a glorifying article about urself on wiki and enjoy. and yes it's true the internet is a demonic force that controls our lives and steals our info when it can get away with it, but just accept it and bow down in servitude to your new master! and if your like me (a crazy american) you'll support google because it's our only hope in defeating china. muahaha!!

OT don't be afraid. as things are we're going into an age where everyone has a little info on them on the internet. it's no big deal.

I can find everything about me on Google... I'm not scared, because who the fuck would care about me?
If you google "Fluffles" my blog is the second unique entry.
If you google "flufflesthepancake" you get my deviant art, youtube, steam, Xfire, Newgrounds (forgot I even had an account), and god knows what else...
and these are all interlinked with my facebook and eachother.
So if you want to know all about me, the internet is the place!

I Googled some of my old/current-but-not-well-known names... I got my previous profiles within the first page.

I've got about 11, though, including this one, so I'm not too concerned. And none of them have majorly personal details.
