I Get Dubious When They Say That

Last time I got an injection. My right arm was numb and useless for the next two days. I'm right-handed. This made things difficult.

Well in that case, they were right, you really didn't feel anything.
OT:
This is a phrase I've heard often here, around the internet, generally when someone is trying to act tough;
"Me and my cousin..."
I've seen a lot of it on youtube, and now, I just move on to the next comment.

Bill Bailey nailed it; it's just a euphanism for 'suspending all rational thought for a moment'.

Also, any arguement when someone says "My dad/mum" or "Someone I know, who knows this guy says..." when you ask for a valid arguement with proof.

That and statistics, despite the fact I'll use them when I can.

What if it is improved by adding something new

Then it's only improving the original thing.
Painting a wall a new colour does not make the wall new. Adding a new spoiler to a car doesn't make the car new.
