Stupidest thing I've been insulted for? Uhhh... The insults that go to my last name usually outshine any others, although at one point I was laughed at for listening to a generic metal song. For those interested:

Surprisingly, I haven't taken any flak because people think DH is generic, but my family does rib me a little because I like heavy metal, but it's all in good fun. Besides, I'm slowly converting them, at least to DH.


The stupidest thing I've been insulted/chided for usually goes something like this:

"OMG you don't have a iPhone? WHYNOT??!?"
"Because, I don't want one."
"OMGYOUDON'TWANTANiPHONE?? WHYNOT!! YOUR STUPID!!"

I'm exaggerating a little, but you get the gist.

Wanna support them? Go to concerts, and see if they have a donate thing on their website, give em 5 bucks or something, they'll get more money that way than through cd sales.

The more general thing happened/happens in real life (the person realized a huge, hardcover volume can hurt like hell), but I mentioned reading Transformers here, and a guy mocked me. I ripped his argument (Transformers are gay) into shreds, and destroyed it. (it was one of my earliest escapist posts)
In real life, I was surprised someone actually mocked my Deadpool comic. I tend not to care what most people think, but seriously? You thought Deadpool was nerdy?
Oh, and I remembered something else I was made fun of:
For being intelligent. I kid you not. I was mocked for being too smart. I strangled him with telekinesis, as I heated my coffee up by thinking of fire (cookie for reference).

The second part of your post is spot on though. I just don't get why people think record labels aren't important towards getting bands to your ears.

I've been reading the new Deadpool comics, but I only buy the volumes, so I'm a little behind. I heard good things about Merc with a Mouth though, and Prelude to Deadpool Corps is a fun one. I get insulted cause I read big books. Like, stuff like Stephen King big. Like, 300-400+ pages that are small print, not real margins, and isnt just dribble.
