I get ridiculed daily for not playing Call of Duty religiously, for liking Final Fantasy, for watching anime, and much more. I'm not social.

I wonder how all the music pirates are going to feel if they drive all musicians out of their artistic medium due to the lack of funds.

A rather extreme idea perhaps but it bears thinking about.
its the record labels that make money off cd sales. the bulk of a bands profit comes from merchandise and touring

I've been insulted for a LOT of stupid things, most often for not drinking alcohol.

After that there's an incredibly long list of insults from this one friend (none of them are actually meant as insults, so they don't count though) and some others, like being insulted by a former class mate for training Kendo... <.<
Not drinking alcohol? Well that's stupid, I can name 4 people off the top of my head (all in different colleges, all extroverted popular people) who don't drink any alcohol.

Stupidest thing I've been insulted for? Uhhh... The insults that go to my last name usually outshine any others, although at one point I was laughed at for listening to a generic metal song. For those interested:

No no no, Demon Hunter rocks tits. I would have slapped them in the face for such an outrageous Accusation. And drinking shouldn't be considered something to do to fit in....but something to do if u like to do it, its not like it makes a difference lol. But ppl are dumb and prolly wont realize this

OT: The most silly thing ive been made fun of for is my goth set-up and my ponytail......wtf? who cares who i dress lol

Good lord, it is impossible to find anyone to play battletech these days. *thumbs up*
Always wanted to try Battletech, if only because I love giant robots of mass destruction and I enjoyed the Mechwarrior series.
Naturally, when I finally do get a possible chance, it dries up due to time constraints.

I got insulted for buying my games on Steam. Yes, now liking efficiency and how easy it is to buy games, is apperantly "gay" as he put it.

Forgive me for not getting it.

Also, I got insulted for not liking Lord of the Rings. Sorry, but I got bored 15 minutes in. Looked nice though.

Mixed blessing.

On one hand, Radio stations would have to replay old songs.

Singers who wanted to be payed would be screwed.

Companies that profit off the bands they license would crash,

bad singers who don't deserve a career but are odly the ones making the most money would watch their fame explode into dust.

People would just listen to old music and stuff they already downloaded/bought/etc.

Sure you loose the good bands, but now a days, they're not making as much as the crappy pop singers.

I get insulted for being Canadian quite a bit. So I'm in a game of BC2 and everyone's getting along, then a guy asks me "So where you from?" I reply "Oh I'm from Canada man", the he responds with: "Wow your a fucking fagot Monday"... I'm more or less like "Monday? What? WAT?"

Can somebody explain to me why a lot of Americans hate Canadians? Does everybody over there have nationalism coming out of their ass? Also what's with calling Canadian "Mondays"? So far that's the strangest insult I've ever heard.

It's funny, if songs weren't put on YouTube for free listening, there's plenty of bands I would never have heard of, nore albums I would've bought or touched.

Without YouTube, I wouldn't know the names of songs I heard on the radio and loved.

I'd never have heard of Metallica, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Disturbed and many other bands. Instead if someone had asked me what I thought of music without hearing those bands, I'd say it's crap, 'cause all it is, is Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and some other idiots.

Every feel this way just about being a nerd?
Being a nerd is awesome, deon't let anyone convince you of the contrary ^^)
Still, it's kinda awkward trying to explain to your jock friend what Pokemon is.
It's probably safer not to explain him what it is :D
Too late for that XD

It's America. The idiots there have the loudest mouths and end up making a huge bad reputation for the whole country.

Not to mention they have alot of racial stereotypes of other cultures.

I'm not sure how 'monday's' an insult.

But atleast it's more fresh then 'eh', 'land of maple syrup and mounties'.

You people get ridiculously insulted for being ridiculously called out on some really ridiculous stuff. And that's a whole lot of ridiculous.

I get insulted by some of my best friends all the time for buying almost anything I could easily download. Which really sucks, because I'm not a particularly anti-pirate girl. I commonly download things if my DVD screws up and I can't watch it anymore. I can rationalize that because I've paid for it. If I see something illegally and I like it, I buy it. I buy all my music from iTunes, and a good bit of TV, too.

Stupidest thing, though? Some kid in my English class (the semester ends tomorrow, but I may see him again) keeps calling me out because I knit. He thinks it's stupid to knit.
I'm a guy and I love knitting! you should totally knit him a noose for a gift >:)

OT: he physical version is always better I find

Yeah...
I feel sorry for you already, that film was atrocious. If people around you like it to that degree then I can only offer my sympathies for you at this time.
If it gets out of hand holla, I have a spare room where you can shelter.

OT: I can't really remember what the last thing I got insulted for was, possibly for not drinking.
It's just one of those things I've gotten over since I was 14 to be honest and I really pay no attention to people who think that they can insult you for nothing.
I think I was just insulted for thinking that Napoleon Dynamite was hilarious. Oh Snap

I don't like the tone of your ridiculous statement about us getting ridiculous over ridiculous stuff.

I find it ridiculous. Geez, if you say that word enough times it starts to sound like a spell from Harry Potter.

I was insulted for wanting to be a pro wrestler by my schools gym coach. Cut to a few years after graduation and the school has me there to give a speech about the importance of an education no matter what your plans for the future are and lo and behold the same coach is still calling me stupid for doing what I wanted to do. (Granted I was no Steve Austin in terms of making money, but just doing the bookings I did I made twice what the coach was making)

So I even worked that into my speech saying you didn't have to be the most successful person in your career to be considered a success, look at Coach X (won't mention him since I can't stand the fucker) he'd never had a winning season and still had players go to the NFL because of their talent. That pissed him off even more, so I jokingly said we should have an impromptu collegiate style match that afternoon in the gym. He thought he'd be a bad ass and prove my "fake shit" was no match for his years of whatever he did.

That afternoon when school was out about 3/4 of the school were in the stands and watched me hook him into a cross face in about a minute and see him cry and give up. I'd been wanting to do that for years and it was worth every minute of waiting. I even offered to shake his hand and call it even for all the crap he put me through but he refused since I had embarrassed him (what was I supposed to do? Take a dive and ruin my credibility and career so he keeps face? No thanks)

In the end to make everything good for him again, I put him over by saying all the stuff he had said and done to me as a student was to push me to achieve my goals and it had worked. The principal later told me that I didn't have to do that but that it was a really nice thing I did for the coach, whereas the coach didn't acknowledge it at all.

I didn't care that he no sold it, I was fixing to go out with and bang the English teacher I always had a crush on when I was a student.
