I would recommend coming clean and admitting guilt. Apologise to the Cop, make some excuse or something, and if you have no past criminal record the judge should let you go free without charge.

Swearing at a cop/being unco-operative isnt a privilege, And you are not immune due to a medical or political reason, so ~ This law is completely[/I] irrelevent. Nice try though.

Consider it a life lesson. There are times when keeping your mouth shut is a good idea, and insulting people with some kind of authority over you rarely pays off, no matter how much of an asshole they are personally. For similar reasons, don't piss off lawyers either.

Pretty sure they didn't have smarting off to cops in mind when they mentioned "priviledges and immunities," and at any rate the constitution gets folded, spindled, and mutilated on a daily basis.

Heck, you just admitted your guilt in a forum thread; don't think it's gonna stand up in court. Harhar. Not the wisest professional to smart off to. I've always learned that no matter what, you call them "Sir" or M'am", give them short truthful answers, apologize and be on your way, no matter how frustrated you are.
Pick your battles..you lost this one, just pay your fine, apologize and don't do it again.

I hate cops, they always flip me off and act like such assholes, then if you say something like "Stop being such a dick!" they arrest you! Pricks, I hope they all turn into the coke whores they never seem to catch because they're too busy searching a 15-year-old, because apparently, I looked like I was "intoxicated"
I WAS FUCKING TIRED BECAUSE I HAD TO WALK 8Km TO MY FUCKING HOUSE BECAUSE THE STUPID FUCKING SCHOOL BUS BROKE DOWN! Damn I hate cops!

Your first problem was that you cooperated so easily. If an authority asks you any question or favor, you have to ask them in return. "Why must I answer/comply?"

They can ask you for your identification, but it is YOUR choice to give it to them. They can't take it from you, which is why people who refuse get detained while the proper paperwork is filled out. That cost money, manpower and attention that the city/state government never wants to spend. Trust me, I've gotten out of many summons just because I showed up on the court date, and the officer hadn't.

I suppose I'll probably just plead guilty.
When I mellowed out the cops seemed to start to like me.

He and his partner and I actually talked a bit and we made each other laugh.

1. What state you live in.
2. What county in that state.
3. How old you are.
4. Where you were standing (public property or private)

Most likely you'll get a fine and a really (I mean really fucking) boring lecture by the judge. I got picked up for the same thing. My advice, when in court (if it gets that far), SHUT THE HELL UP! Yes sir, no sir, and nothing else.
