I always come back to Picross 3D on the DS. That game is so much fun and you can download more puzzles all the time.

Pretty much any RPG I've ever played. If I pick one up again, I'll just keep playing it, coming back day after day until I'm done. One of my flatmates started playing Dragon Age recently, so I ended up starting again, and then thought I'd see how the story changed if I did certain things differently, and then... Stupid immersive game
Golden Sun's bad for this too (both of them) - every time I stumble across them in my house, I feel the urge to see how quickly I can get through the game. Subconsciously, I might be losing them around the house deliberately just so that I rediscover them from time to time...

This extends to the pokémon games, even though they lack the story element that usually drags me back.

Ragnarok Online (I've been playing it on and off since about 2004!), various Pokemon games, the Half-Life games, and Silent Hill games.

I'm a creature of habit.

Lemme see:

Half Life 2 + episodes: Big time. And I've still got achievements to be won. And where's Ep. 3, Gabe? Huh, Huh?! We're waiting!

American McGee's Alice: I don't know. Something about hacking apart anthropomorphic playing cards with a glorified kitchen knife in a surrealistic nightmare world to regain your sanity appeals to me. Maybe I should talk to a therapist about this one.

Oh, and Starcraft, Starcraft, Starcraft. (The original): I can't afford SC2 yet so, 'nuff said.

Morrowind and Oblivion.

I don't think that I'll ever find Morrowind or Oblivion old!

WoW, dammit. I don't even do anything worthwhile in that game anymore, except farming and dailies and the occasional achievement.

Also, any of the GoW games, Assassin's Creed 2, Katamari Damacy / We Love Katamari, Borderlands.

Used to be Oblivion, but I really, really, really have played that to death now. I got into a pattern of 'kit out in different set of weapons/armour mods to look badass, then tomb raid'. Unfortunately I've run out of interesting looking mods.

But WaW online holds my attention forever! I just love the feeling on maps like Outskirts that feel like a proper war, taking down tanks and everything.

The Disgaea series tends to be this, whenever I need a break from shooting things in the head they're always a nice change of pace and I'm determined to beat Baal someday in at least one of them. It's a shame the series is so underated it's as deep as Final Fantasy Tactics but way more fun and over the top and they last for hundreds of hours if you let them, sigh mini rant over.

Republic Commando. I can't say how many times I've beaten it.
Just Cause 2 demo. i only have the demo, but I've easily sunk at least 20 hours in it. I need to get the money to get the full game.
Red Faction Guerrilla (aka Viking God simulator) and the hammer of death. And black hole bombs. I need not say more.
Batman AA good combat, a fun story, and challenging bonus maps make an awesome experience.
Command And Conquer Renegade: A good all-around FPS that I adore.
S.L.A.I - Just an amazing game. If I go into more details, it will take up a paragraph before I stop.
BattleFront 2: It's just fun.
Borderlands: see above.

Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts

Even when Pokemon Black/White comes out I will still get it. Even though it's going to have all new Pokemans.

Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 are my favorite games to date. I lost count of how many save files I've made.

RPGs. Mostly ones with customizable parties, like Pokemon and the Final Fantasies that use job classes. In fact, I'm balancing playthroughs of Final Fantasy V and Pokemon Firered right now.

Modern Warfare 2.
There's so many things I absolutely hate about it but I can never put it down. It's like it hurts so good.

I can still play through Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 with no problems, they are some of the better game sequels I have played (Am I the only one who liked MGS 2?)

Other than that, I can't say I play too much.
