whats that one like? Cyborg 09.Zirat said:Good for you, once you get past some of the generic 'faces' of animer like Naruto ot DBZ there is some actually good anime out there.
I had the same problem at first, but then I was aquainted with my all time favorite of Cyborg 009
unfunny Japanese style humor. paper thin characters. weird annoying plot and the only redeeming feature being cool fight scenes.MagicMouse said:Ya there is good and bad just like anything else.
I'm curious as to why you did not like soul eater tho. I really enjoyed it. You just have to accept that it is not 100% serious all the time.
Pretty much it start's off as a basic plot if man (the tiular 009) waking up in a lab and trying to escape. He is saved from 8 other cyborg's similar to him who were brought to the same lab and weaponized into cyborgs for diffrent reasons.y1fella said:whats that one like? Avatar has the art style and story telling of anime. As for Elfen Lied, That is your opinion.Jiraiya72 said:Avatar=not anime. Samurai C isn't even what I'd call a good example of classic anime. Saying Elfen Lied sucked? Wow, you have no idea what you're talking about. One of the top 20 best, easily.
I remeber that show, I enjoyed it as a kid.Zirat said:Good for you, once you get past some of the generic 'faces' of animer like Naruto ot DBZ there is some actually good anime out there.

Works for me. It means someone has finally experienced the idea that "it's not all the same generic crap."AC10 said:what was the purpose of this post? To inform us you found anime you liked?
When most people agree on something, it becomes fact. I won't put a number on it, but to say it isn't good is just plain wrong. You can dislike it, but that doesn't make it bad.Corum1134 said:Avatar has the art style and story telling of anime. As for Elfen Lied, That is your opinion.Jiraiya72 said:Avatar=not anime. Let's get real, it's pretty hard to hate Samurai ChamplooNeutralDrow said:Works for me. It means someone has finally experienced the idea that "it's not all the same generic crap."AC10 said:what was the purpose of this post? To inform us you found anime you liked?
That the first one he really liked is Samurai Champloo is just icing on the cake.
Ok if you don't like Japanese humor then I get why you wouldn't like it AT ALL. I found the plot interesting though I can see how it could be called "weird". However once you get into the later episodes the characters actually get really deep and full back-stories/personalities.y1fella said:unfunny Japanese style humor. paper thin characters. weird annoying plot and the only redeeming feature being cool fight scenes.MagicMouse said:Ya there is good and bad just like anything else.

Um, brah, brah, brah, Samurai Champloo was amazingly awesome, and too this day still gives me extreme joy/sadness whenever I look at it nostalgially, it makes me wish they had memory erasers just so I could watch it over again and see the epicness one more time.Jiraiya72 said:Avatar=not anime.
