I hate being friendless

So I know I am not the most social person. I do want to be around others but they don't want to be around me. Whether it's the people at the local game store refusing to have me join their sessions because they want more experienced players in their MTG or DnD games or online games are full of nothing but screaming kids. It just seems i'm destined to not play with others.

I dunno, should I just give up? It seems i'm not cut out for having friends/having fun with others.

I'd like to say that those two examples are probably the worst to choose from. So if that's where you're looking for friends, it's likely not you.

That sounds like a very limited search. Assuming mtg and dnd are primary interests of yours, try other gaming places? Find dnd games online?

As for online games, maybe find some with better communities. Join a good guild in an MMO maybe?
