One problem with that. My parents computer, which is the one that manages the router, is broken and they are still waiting for one from Dell (I tried to convince them to let me build it for them and save some money). Anyway, I can't adjust it until they get their new one which isn't until the end of the month73hm0571337 said:Generally you go to the router's configuration page. Login and there should be an option to change the lease time for all your connections. It will probably be setup for either hours of minutes, just put in a good time length, I use around 24 hours.PlaylistOne said:How do I go about changing this?Finnboghi said:Also, if your router is trying to renew your connection every few minutes, increase your lease time.
Most routers will go up to at least a week, others will go to any set date (just put in 10 years in the future and you'll be fine), and still others allow a permanent lease (this is static DHCP, if you don't know how to use it, learn).
If this doesn't work or you can't figure it out let me know what brand & model router you have and I'll work on getting you an answer.
