Hey. This past semester, I transferred into a four-year school, and I'm living on campus. I hate the people I live with though. I'm in a suite with five other guys, as well as the two to four girls who come over every day.

They're all super obnoxious, stay up until around one a.m. every night, and have poor hygiene. They don't seem to know how to communicate any way other than shouting. The guys never stop talking about sex whenever the girls leave. They're all constantly saying racist and sexist stuff. They're just all really unpleasant people I'd rather be nowhere near.

I feel kind of trapped. I really don't like living here, but the other five (or seven or nine) are having the time of their lives. They're not going to listen to any complaints I bring up, and in all honesty it doesn't seem fair to make five to nine people change their behavior to appease one person.

Additionally, in a somewhat related problem, I'm having problems making friends. Our suite is in its own secluded corner, with the door closed, so I don't know anyone in the dorms. I'd go to on-campus clubs and activities, but my suite mates and the girls are desperate for friends too, so they all go to pretty much every event. I want to spend as little time around them as possible. Just veing in the same room as them puts me in a bad mood.

I haven't been able to legitimately relax since I got here mid-January. I'm feel like I'm going crazy here. If anyone has any advice on either front, it'd be appreciated. Also, please forgive the not-so-elequent writing. I'm tired and upset.

Try joining a club or clubs. Join the comic club or video game club or whatever your into there has to be plenty of clubs and activities you can choose from I'm sure. Heck I know some phone apps that you can use to find clubs in your area actually. I don't know how to help you with your roommates they sound pretty terrible..

I take it's impossbile to be transfer to another dorm let alone if you are willing to pack everything up to do so? Also do you can any sort of a accomdation staff but yet again that was when I was living in a student flat (apartment).

I had problems in the campus I was in during my second year of Uni (some roommates were loud and abnoxious) so I complain it to the receptionist at the campus especially when their drunken antic cause my ceiling to be leaking of water (above my room was the kitchen)!
