I don't know what the PC crowd actually do or want but all I know is that when something stupid happens and I say "that was retarded" and someone starts getting all butthurt over it that's pretty annoying it's a common saying if you think I am actually attacking people with learning disabilities you maybe need to learn how people mostly use the word nowadays.

The funny thing is, the word "retarded" is no longer used for people with mental disabilities... we use mentally disabled. And we use it for the same reason we swapped "moron" and "imbecile" for "retarded." In every case, the term starts out as a clean medical term without the negative connotations, but it picks them up because at the end of the day, it's a medical term that means "unintelligent." And the day calling someone stupid ceases to be an insult is the day humanity truly is screwed.

Hate is a word. Hate is a strong word. Of course it is, it expresses a strong emotion. Words are mean to be used. If you dislike something, then say you dislike it. I dislike the color orange. Using a stronger word than dislike would be hyperbole. However, if you hate something, then say you hate it. I don't strongly dislike Hitler, I hate Hitler.

Don't listen to fools who tell you what to say. It's nonsense. Of course the words you choose will affect the way people see you, so choose your words with care, but no one has the right to tell you that you can't say something.

There are people who deserve hate. Those who earn hateful treatment. People for whom ethnic, political, religious, gendered or physiological attacks are the best venom. But only when it applies, in truth. Scum you see sometimes, walking mannequin of stereotype.

Regarding the word, anything you restrict the frequency of use will have more punch when said. Then, when you're going to growl, show your teeth and the threat in your eyes. That's proper hate, regardless how diffuse it gets with people bandying it about at slight inconvenience.
