So I finally got myself a newer generation console. The PS3. With it I got Fallout New Vegas and my girlfriend picked Bayonetta. Future games will be Little Big Planet 2 and Portal 2 (so I can have the second copy on PC) and possibly Dead Space 2. I need some ideas though. Anyone got any thoughts on games for PS3 to try?

Unpick Bayonetta, yes it's awesome - my girlfriend likes it too - but it's horrible on the PS3.

The patch fixed it, for the most part.

BUT WE SHOULDN'T NEED PATCHES IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I know what you mean. Im gonna go broke buying PS1 titles alone (also indie games). Also, why did you get rid of hypnotoad!

Damn right. And with a buncha other classic PS1 RPGs, coming. Like Legend of Mana, Vagrant Story, and Xenogears...You gonna be busy.

And he's gone because I found something that I like better.

360 version still runs a bit better, after it's own installation on there, but it's playable. Quite playable. I'd say the PS3 controller is superior for it, as locking on is easier without messing with the slippery "bumpers" on 360.

inFamous, Ratchet and Clanks, Sly Collection (assuming you never played the originals on the PS2), Uncharted 1 and 2.

If multi-console games work as well, then I can vouch for Assassin's Creed 2 and Mass Effect 2 as two REALLY good games. Like, really, really good.

Though the game is deffinately not for everyone, I have to agree, everyone with a PS3 should at least give this game a try.
From the early trailers I saw it looked like just another fantasy action RPG, but a friend spoke so highly of it that I bought it, I was hooked for a very long time.

LittleBigPlanet 1 (story mode is still fun, and all the stuff you do on it, like create levels etc can be ported over to LBP2 very easily.)

Prince of Persia

Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous, Mass Effect and Valkyria Chronicles. I'd suggest renting Assassins Creed games due to their short length, and the novelty that wears off fairly quickly.
