I want you to remember a long time ago. It was when you were a child. Quite young, perhaps three or four years old. Do you remember your mother's face? How she looked at you with undefinable love an affection? To her, you were the most beautiful ting she had ever seen, made all the more wonderful because she created it. Do you remember getting hurt while playing, and then she makes it all better with a gentle kiss and perhaps a sweet? Yeah, you do remember all of that, correct? Well now think on this: it is gone forever. You are older now, and you will never feel that again. Maybe something like it, but cerainly never that feeling of unconditonal love. You are grown, and your mother grows old and forgetful. Soon she will no longer remember such precious memories, and eventually, she will not remember you. She will then die a sad and lonely death, thinking that everyone she has ever loved either is gone or has never existed. Just think on that.
OH MY GOD! That was the most depressing thing I've ever read. I'm almost not smiling (Spent the entire day with my girlfriend and am in the best possible mood ever. EVER!)

Just wanted to say: Awesome avatar! Lemmings all the way!

Anywho, I'd say watch Pan's Labyrinth. The most depressing film ever? For me it was.
why thank you. i was recently considering changing it, but now, just for you, he can stay. i shall call him... alpha.
OT: Does that act of random generosity right there not make you well up a little bit?

ah jesus boys, ye're not even trying. has no one mentioned Clannad yet! dude: look up this:

http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/clannad-episode-1-english-dubbed-online-free

I'm afraid if ya really cry, you'll have to watch all the episodes up to number 10 at least. but believe me : it's worth it. even just watch the first 2 minutes of the first episode: you'll want to watch more, I'm telling ya.

apart from that, i'd recommend persona 4. again, it's a slog: the thing is, the things that really make ya cry are games, films or tv series you've invested yourself in. toy story 3's ending wouldn't make you cry unless you watched the first and second films as children. dude: you will cry if you watch iron giant from start to finish, or toy story 3, or whatever.

so if ya want to cry: watch the whole toy story series, play persona 4, or watch clannad. that's my recommendation.

Well if you want a whole list of sad tropes, just look up Tear Jerker on TV tropes.

I wasn't that upset even though I saw both toy story's as a kid.
I don't mind anime so I will watch clannad
and I'm too broke to get persona 4 :(

I can only assume you've never been kicked in the balls...or watched Toy Story 3.

Anyway, here's a quote from the book Fight Club.

"It's easy to cry when you realize everyone you love will reject you or die."

Crying yet?

Bridge to terabithia... even more so.
Really? Haven't seen it. What makes it so depressing?
That would be a massive spoiler... just go watch it.

well, have you ever played the game majora's mask? and if not do you ever plan on playing it (just a minor precaution as i hate to spoil even the most minor detail if you ever planned on playing it.)

This is the saddest thing I have ever seen. Never cried so hard for something that didn't affect me, directly. Prepare to drown in your own eye sweat. :')
okay, this is the saddest I have been this entire thread, my body was shaking and i felt genuinely upset, but alas, not a single drop :(

soon I'm going to go to my doctor and see if he can help
Oh my, you may in fact have a little problem. I've only watched this once because it saddens me to the point of tears just thinking about it. Oh well, I tried. :)

Imma try the music route, they're probably not that sad, but we'll see what happens.

Plus read through Cities in Flight by James Blish. If you don't cry on the last page, there's no helping you.

no, no, no! You guys have this all wrong!

He said to make him cry, he never said to cry depressively, so instead try to get him to cry from laughing his ass off!
