I think I have seen this phrase so much my mind was actually blocking out one word in the sentence. I say this because for a split second I thought I read "I have faith in humanity"
Looking closer, because I was very happy for a moment, I finally saw the "No" and then my hopes were gone.

I feel that I have faith in humanity. Everyone loves to focus on the bad that happens but in reality there is a lot of good stuff that happens as well... Best example I can come up with is the Desert Bus Run that LRR does... do they have to play the most god awful game ever made? No... they don't, but they do to raise money for a good cause. This and many more things Give me hope.

I believe the main problem is parenting. That parents now of days don't try to discipline their children as much. I am not for child abuse or even the belt, but kids get away with so much now because of 'lawsuits' and these fears that people get if they are 'to hard' on their children who grow up without a good sense of morality. I could be wrong of course, but I really don't think parents of that guy would be proud for what he did to you, so just consider the concept of immaturity as well. There are always reasons, but my main one is that they were not taught to care for others.

And while somewhat counter-intuitive there is also an issue of over-parenting here, which continually reinforces that the kid is the center of all things. Kids do not need to be responsible for their actions because their parents are taking care of everything, and parents don't need to be responsible because they're busy being their kid's "best friend" rather then their kid's parent.

...for many reasons!

It would take forever to go over all of them, so...I'll just give an example of what happened at work the other day. There was a guy who ordered a large soda, so, I gave it to him. Then after drinking part of it, he asks how much it is, despite there being a GIANT menu sign behind the counter, and so I tell him, and he says "Nah, that's too much."

So...he dug through the tip jar for the cash, handed it to me, then left. I was so stunned that I didn't even say anything...and he didn't even give me enough to pay for the thing. (Sales tax...)
