I really really want to like this show. I'm all for attractive females playing d&d especially when some of them are porn stars, but its so boring. I feel like they just gave them a crappy camera and have someone do a quick edit and throw it on the internet. I think it would work way better if they filmed the game and then spent time interviewing the players and DM after and inter-cut the footage. Even then I'm not sure that would make they show that much more interesting...I'm not sure if watching D&D can be that interesting. But upping the production and adding interviews would probably help.

At the same time I don't think the players care enough to even take the time to do that. It really feels like they don't really care about the show...they are goofing off filming and could care less if people watch. On some level probably more fun for them, but it makes for terrible viewing.
+10 mario stars ^-^ d I agree

3) "Who are these pornstars trip-trapping on my Escapist! They have boobs - THIS OFFENDS ME! It might offend me less if I approved of their boobs!!! Why does The Escapist offend my sensitive values by assuming that I will watch something that has boobs in it, that I will then ONLY watch for boob-content and complain about the way the boobs look?!? I will teach the programmers at The Escapist a lesson - I will watch more and continually complain about their boobs!!!"
Dead on.

If the show is good for you, that's fine, but to mock others for being honest is not cool. Some comments seem to speak a tad more offensive than others, but by commenting here, they are indeed giving valid input to help improve the series...
It's not mocking anyone's honesty, really, it's mocking some people's hypocrisy. You have to agree that doesn't really fall into "valid input". Also, "I don't like it, so change it in a way that I would" actually doesn't suggest an improvement. It suggests catering for an audience that may very well be outside the series' target, and you just can't please everyone. "I like this and that, concentrate on improving them" is a much more useful form of feedback, because it supports, rather than suppresses the person's creativity and may motivate them to go the extra mile to indulge you, even if you're not in the above mentioned target.

too true, i do think that a large number of comments were in poor taste. it's like they're the kind of people who look at a piece of art with a naked person in it and accuse it of being porn. It's just nice to know i'm not the only person not watching it because some of people may be or have been pornstars.
Well, uh, that was kind of the premise that they launched it with. That's not why I watched it either, but the hook for the community was "pornstars playing D&D". Says so in the site description. And the way you played that metaphor, you made it seem like this is art... It ain't. This is an amateur video of several average-looking women with intriguing hairstyles sitting around a table rolling dice. Which, in my opinion (and in art terms) puts it somewhere below Cassius Coolidge's "Dogs Playing Poker". I mean, this is like an average person filming their average D&D session and posting it online... it's boring to watch, but fun to participate in.

I'll chime in on the "Yay" side. I was dubious at first, but (as stated by the first reply) it's getting better. So I'd like to see where this is going at least.

Also, kudos to the GM for the voices.

i was just trying to make a point, i know this is not art but it was the only analogy i could think of ( i like to explain things with humorous analogies although this one may not be humorous)

As someone who is learning how to play D&D, I like the idea of watching players play the game. I however dislike the editing in this show. It shows snippets of the adventure, general chatter and is broken up by music snippets.

This show may be enjoyable to watch if you simply want to watch the players say quirky things. I think my search for instructive/enjoyable D&D game session videos goes on.

I finally watched the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th episodes last night. Much better. The first episode wasn't too good, but now that we've moved past the introductions...

I like it. A lot.

I do agree that some of the responses are indeed unhelpful, there are those that have been giving constructive criticism since the beginning that I feel he may have overlooked when he decided to type that out..

Even with the more offensive posts, things like editing and continuity are the majority of things brought to attention as a problem with the show. While they can't really do much for those that say "I'm out! Not for me." or "get hotter chicks kthnx." I think it would be foolish to ignore and exclude those that say "Hey, what's going on? I don't understand the show because of the way it's being edited." Especially when it seems like the majority of the people who decided to take the time to post on these threads share the same overall problem.

If anything I think those that say "BOOOORING!" are either those that just come to the escapist asking the site to make them laugh, or they misunderstand what they really want from the show.. If it had more rhythm to it and more of a flow, then they wouldn't feel as if it was boring to them.

That and you'll have to excuse me a bit, I always forget that not everyone sees constructive criticism in even the most destructive of opinions. If some one were to say "I hate this PoS!!" But gives even the tiniest reason as to why, I see that as some form of constructive criticism that may or may not be used to improve the quality of the show.

Game Dogs and now this. The women are not really particularly clever or enthusiastic or anything.
This makes Game Dogs look like solid gold comedy.
At least there are cute girls to look at. Game Dogs has zero reedeming qualities. Thsi show has one in my opinion. Not that this series is any good, but saying that Game Dogs was better than anything made my heart hurt.
What cute girls? They all look fugly and used up, in my opinion.
I'm not much of a fan of Game Dogs either but this series is just so fucking awful, at least episode 3 of Game Dogs was funny.
Mostly, but Sasha is cute in my opinion. And I gave up after episdoe two of Game Dogs. I bet three was funny in that it was compared to the previous entries. OMG there's talking dogs. What a concept.

What is the point of this? am I supposed to be turned on or something? should I care about how dumb these girls seem? (not that women are dumb mind you, just these no-brainers)

Honestly, the best thing so far are all the mean comments about the vids, and the hate they get - lol.

The only reason these kids want to watch it has the do with the "huge tracks of land" these girls own (little monty python ref for you).

It seems to be getting better, but what was up with the random few seconds of metal music in the middle of the video?
She said "Who wants my throwing axe? I'm getting too weighed down with stuff." and the music clip went "How heavy this axe" (from the song of the same name) - see what they did there? I thought it was hilarious (I'm a huge fan of The Sword, the band that made that song)

Best episode yet, I think. I'm one of the few who liked it pretty well from the beginning...
Ah. I understand now. I couldn't hear what was being said in the song. I see it now.

Yeah it is what they need, but the possibility of them doing so let alone pull it off is beyond minds grasp.

Zak, please quit saying "like" every other word.

I find nothing interesting about this but the combination of D&D and porn stars keeps bringing me back, I'm such a tool....

Forgive my bluntness but what the hell was that? I can't believe I wasted those 7 minutes. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but no. The girls are somewhat attractive, but they have this goth shit going on that no one likes except other goths. Normally I like trying to be constructive with my criticism, but that would be like trying to make a turd edible.

Maybe I don't get it.
