you watch too much porn ¬_¬CMon said:Sasha Grey?
What the pants???
EDIT: Okay, so...five pornstars, a stripper, and a hairdresser playing DnD?
This is one crazy idea for a show.
EDIT, EDIT: CHRIST HOLY BANANA, I EVEN RECOGNIZE THE BLONDE GUY SITTING BEHIND THEM AT 4:56. He's a pornstar too.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE

anyway, good post though, i liked your argument.
but reading other peoples posts, i have a feeling i will be watching the next episode, just to see if their storytelling, or roleplaying, gets interesting at any point... but this episode didn't appeal to me at all. I read the title and thought "this actually sounds like it could be pretty funny"... after reading the description about them playing D&D, i thought maybe it was a spoof, like that flash animation with the Final Fantasy characters.
oh, another thing. Did anyone's escapist not work/go really slow then not work yesterday? mine did... every other website i normally go on worked fine... i'm not sure if that was due to the mass amount of traffic of people watching, commenting on and re-watching Zero Punctuation. But i actually have a gut feeling its something to do with the fact that at least 4 video series get updated on a Wednesday
I'm sorry, are you still typing? Can you hear that? That's the sound of me not giving a shit.Headbiter said:Fascinating what this funny stuff between your ears is capable off, right? Advice and two other words, I'm aware of that. So, your personal achievement of the day aside, is there anything of value you have to say or is this as far as you can go?You spelled "Advice" wrong.
Yea, I'll tell you what I told Zak when he asked me to join the show. "What get paid to do what I love? F**k yea!" Sounds dorky but it was one of the two far fetched ideas I had when I was younger and as an adult I got to fulfill them. I totally shrieked with joy at my first DM (from high school) when we shot the first show. 15 years ago we thought it would be fun to record a game and turn it into a book (pre pod cast & you tube).Undercover said:Welcome to The EscapistSatine Phoenix said:Thanks everyone for watching!
Weather you love it or it's just not your thing, we really appreciate you all watching our show. It's really fun for us to share these moments with you. There's an Interview that posted on http://io9.com today that explains the series better.
Thanks again,
SatineDon't sweat the nay-sayers, not everything is for everyone. I think you're all on to something here & this could really take off if you do it right.
Coming from a similar adult entertainment background (behind the camera, that is) I find it really amusing that people are shocked, SHOCKED! That adult film actors are (GASP) real people that do real things.
See all you D&D geeks? Hot women play too. There's hope for you after all
From a technical point of view however, Zak needs some lights. I'm a multimedia producer/photographer/filmmaker so I'm kind of a lighting whore, but the video looks pretty murky with just plain room lights. A couple of photofloods & a great big reflector would light everyone at the table quite nicelyMaybe another camera or two set up on tripods would help, too. The rest could be fixed in post. (Sigh) I'm such a video nerd.
Not that I need to tell you this, but keep doing what you're doing & fuck 'em if they don't like it! I for one look forward to watching the show evolve and it has nothing, NOTHING to do with the fact that I really dig women with tattoos who like to geek out.
Nope. Not a thing...
Excellent point Megido. A more concise statement than my first draft reply.Megido said:Yes, because if there's one thing porn does it's give things credibility.Peace Frog said:I found this video pretty entertaining ^^ and I'm sure it gives DnD a lot more credibility in some people's eyes.
I'm glad it was you this time, I was getting sick of whatshisface's attempts to goad me into an argument. Oh well, every bridge and every forum needs a Troll I guess, I just refuse to feed them.Satine Phoenix said:Yea, I'll tell you what I told Zak when he asked me to join the show. The lighting for the Sasha Segment does suck unfortunately. We learned our lesson and fixed it with the next Guest Star. And I totally know what you're talking about with Post production. It's what my boyfriend does for a living(super Nerd/burns in sunlight/video compositor using Nuke & Infernos) It will be a few weeks before we get there. This isn't the kind of thing you can just re shoot. Its a one shot deal. There are no saves or re dos. The thing about us is that we're not acting. There's no script and you TOTALLY get to see the reactions when we mess up. HAHA.
Stop by my blog: http://sexfoodandcomicbooks.com and say hi. Would love to hang out. OH and one more thing... I don't do porn anymore. Haven't for 6 months. I'm a comic book illustrator. That doesn't quite get covered in the show.
Or more likely, it is just a DnD game with a spin. I'm starting to doubt the people of the Escapist even know what a "reality show" is.shankitystick said:OH MY FUCKING GOD. THIS SHIT SUCKS ASS. Excuse me but who died and put you in charge? What makes you the person who decides what is and isn't welcome? You are in my eyes, just as bad, if not worse, than someone who types in all caps now please take your superiority complex with you and let the adults talk.Rokar333 said:Or more likely, it is just a DnD game with a spin. There are people who have put transcripts or recordings of their DnD games on the internet, and this is the same thing. For people who play, or run, a game of DnD it is actually kind of interesting. Yes, the players work in porn, just as there are DnD players who work in engineering, or who serve in the military; really it just shows the broad appeal of DnD. This video is more welcome on the Escapist than comments rife with spelling errors and misuse of Caps Lock.
