Is it bad that my first thought was, 'Wow it's probably good he couldn't see that, it would make intimidating him into answering questions much, much harder later."
And @capacollo, yes it is after a fashion a documentary. It's just one without really any sort of political/social/economic agenda.
It's meant to be a real look at adult performers/hairdressers/comic book illustrators/naked dancers (I think that covers everyone, oh and artists in the case of Zak the DM) who are juxtaposed with the playing of perhaps most nerdy/geeky hobby on the planet, most of whom are what this website would term 'N00bs' I believe. Sasha (she of the 'I take a nap') is undergoing the Trial by Fire known as 'First Time playing' (among other titles which might be cruder, though somewhat funny, references to fruit and/or things typically sacrificed to Dragons and Volcanoes to appease wrath). The other gamers have varying degrees of experience (though none longer than about 5 years I believe).
The real theory of the show is the revelation that THESE people, who look (and mostly act) NOTHING like the Ancient Fatbeards of Lore (TM) that the game is typically associated with, are having a grand time playing, even when things don't work out, and even when they don't really know what the heck is going on.
